How was the Tuna Oscar? We always go to Kona but I am a bit upset about the menu change so we weren't going to go this April. The pictures just made me switch back. I hope the Tuna is as good as it sounds.

The Tuna Oscar was hands-down my favorite plated meal of our trip. The flavors were out of this world!

If you want, you can read more about it here. (Shameless plug for my foodie TR!)

I like mine with ketchup too......or Tobasco if I'm feelin' sassy! :lmao:

:thumbsup2
It grosses my DH out when I eat my scrambled eggs with ketchup. Also, when my mother in law makes her home made chili, I put ketchup in it. I swear when I do that, you would think I had just finger painted a new dress on the Mona Lisa:lmao:
By the way, love the name........letthewookiewin! :chewy:

:thumbsup2
Thanks, it's one of my three favorite movie quotes.
1. Yoda - "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try."
2. C3PO -"I see your point, sir. I suggest a new strategy, R2: let the Wookiee win."
3. Willy Wonka - "Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker."

Finally after a year of waiting I'm getting around to posting our food pictures from our October 2006 Honeymoon!!! We were on the Disney Meal Plan so we ate way to much!

Yummy fudge we ate from the Main Street Bakery waiting for the fireworks.

We ate so much our bellies stayed fool. The only problem is when I would get the food I'd get started (and finished) before I remember to take pictures. Hope you enjoyed.

My mom & I were at Disney Oct 22-29 (I can't believe we've been back for over 2 weeks already! So sad!) I've finished my report, I just have to figure out how much of it to post here on the board. ;) I've just started to work on my pics, but I decided to upload all my food pics today for this thread. I loved looking at this thread before I left, and I'm not even a food person!

I originally was going to take pics of all our food, but I ended up being wishy washy on that (partly because my mom made fun of me, joking that it was like I never saw food before, lol.) There are some things I really wish I had taken a pic of during the week, though. I normally post pics in my gallery, but I uploaded the food pics to photobucket just for this thread. I'll cut this down into 4 posts so I'm not too big a pain!

Crystal Palace. No pics of the food (it was just hours after we got to Disney, I was too excited to just be there!) but here's a pic of the table & cupcake for my mom's bday (the cupcake was SO good!)

Ohana's. My fav pic from here isn't included in this post. I was taking some pictures of the grill, and one of the chefs asked me if I wanted to come back there and hold a skewer while he took a pic of me. I said sure. That thing was heavy and it was HOT. I mean, that’s obvious, but I could feel the steam, and I was only standing there for a few seconds. Really nice of them to do that.

Chicken (my fav part of the meal)

Le Cellier. I was stupid and didn't take pics of our appetizers & one of our entrees (prime rib.) We loved everything here, but the filet mignon was one of the best things either of us have had in a long time.

Our drinks (Mango & Sour Apple ice drinks)

IMG_7170.jpg

THE filet mignon. The price of the meal was worth it for this alone
IMG_7181.jpg

Our desserts. I got the creme brulee, my mom got the chocolate mousse (moose? ;))

California Grill. We were wondering if this would be worth the 2 TS credits, and after eating there, it absolutely was worth it! The view was amazing, I couldn't stop taking pics from the observation deck, even though it was freezing. But the food was fabulous, too. It's one of the best overall meals I've ever had. I was very good here, and took pics of all our food. Yay!

The table set up for my mom's bday (they took our pic and printed it for free, and also gave my mom a dreams certificate for her bday here.)
IMG_7378.jpg

Our appetizers. Mine was the Oak-fired mushroom flatbread. A meal could be made on this alone. I wasn't sure which flatbread to get, but decided to try this after the waitress recommended it. Delicious.
IMG_7401.jpg

My mom got the lobster appetizer
IMG_7400.jpg

For the entrée, I got the Oak-fired filet of beef. I just had the filet mignon the day before, so I didn’t think I was going to get that, but I didn’t really feel like getting anything else on the menu. I liked Le Cellier's filet better, but this one was still delicious.
IMG_7425.jpg

My mom got the halibut entree. She loved it.
IMG_7424.jpg

For dessert, my mom got the Honey Crunch Cake. When they brought it out, the dessert had a candle & a piece of chocolate that had “Happy Birthday from the California Grill!” written on it.
IMG_7430.jpg

I got the Caramel Apple, which was actually 3 desserts in one. It had an apple tart (my favorite of the 3), apple shooter, and apple sorbet. Both desserts looked really pretty, and they tasted as good as they looked.

Boma. Definitely wish I had more food pics here! All I have is one dessert plate (and the pic isn't the best) and my mom's bday board with chocolate cake (she loved it, I didn't like it much)

IMG_5492.jpg

IMG_5504.jpg

Chef Mickey. My breakfast plate, and my mom's bday cupcake (it looks cuter than the CP cupcake, but the CP one was much better.)

Sunshine Seasons. We shared a CS here, and loved every bite. Wish we could have come back again during the trip. Especially for dessert since everything looked SO good! Only have a pic of the keylime pie, though
IMG_5176.jpg

And, finally, a pic of some chocolates after coming out of the Toontown HOF. Didn't get any since we'd just ate, but I could just imagine how good they tasted from how cute they look!
