Okay, heres who I think will win...for the ones I have a clue on...

Best Actor - I think Jude Law will win though I'd like to see either Bill Murray or Johnny Depp win.

Best Actress - Charlize Theron wil likely win, though I'm rooting for Diane Keaton.

Supporting Actor - I have no idea.

Supporting Actress - Marcia Gay Harden...just a feeling.

ANimated film - GOtta be finding Nemo

Best picture - I don't know, but I think Lost in Translation will get it. I just don't see the others listed as real contenders. Don't get me wrong, LOTR is great, as are the others, but LIT seems like its just obscure enough to get it. You know, an Oscar-ish kinda movie, if you've seen it.

I know my DD15 hopes that Renee Zellweger gets the Best Supporting Actress award. We just back from her seeing "Cold Mountain" three times and me seeing it twice. She is great in that role.

Lord of the Rings for Best Picture, with Peter Jackson as Best Director. I'd rather prefer Lost In Translation, but the two movies are soooo different you really can't compare. They're both awesome in their own ways.

Best Actor: I think it will be either Sean Penn or Bill Murray; I'm hoping for the latter.

Best Actress: Charlize Theron

Original Screenplay: Lost In Translation

Well, I haven't seen all the nominees (those I have I'll put in bold), but here are my picks for the main categories --

ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE -- I'd love to see Johnny Depp win this one, but it'll probably be Bill Murray.

ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE -- since [restrained rant]Sean Astin was passed over for a nomination for his outstanding role in LOTR[/restrained rant], I pick Ken Watanabe. He was great in The Last Samurai and definitely deserves the prize.

ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE -- haven't seen any of the nominees. I'll pick either Diane Keaton or Charlize Theron

ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE -- same here. Shohreh Aghdashloo or Holly Hunter.

DIRECTOR -- Peter Jackson kept the quality high and consistent through all three LOTR movies. It's a well earned nomination and a well deserved Oscar. If not him, then possibly Sofia Coppola for Lost in Translation.

PICTURE -- LOTR: Return of the King (hey, after my restrained rant, should this be any surprise? ).
