Woo hoo Mike! Nice!

My butt is gone and unfortunately I didn't get anymore photos taken today of the finished product. :sad1:

Two lbs of bbq spaghetts gone! Luckily I did freeze some for pulled pork sandwiches.

Memories of the butt when it was still a butt.

I saw this too late. lol My brother made everything under the sun. Hey, we had to have enough protein in us for setting off fireworks, right? :X

Beautiful Evening for cooking out....

Now, lets see some food!!

I don't normally have to cook on the 4th as we go over a college friends place where they always have a huge cookout. Didn't think pics of bubba burgers on the grill were that interesting :)

But George has me planning on using my smoker this coming weekend...

Wow! That food looks good.
We had hamburgers and beans, garden vegetable quiche, pasta salad and strawberry shortcake.

Had no ideas that photos were expected!

Wow, I have no idea. lol Never saw onions, peppers, and strawberries together before.

^ Woo hoo ! :woohoo:

Impressive ! I didn't think *anyone* would get that !

It's a recipe from Paula Deen, and it's really awesome. The flavors all come together in a really interesting way. We did it on a medium heat covered grill instead of in the oven.

Savory Salmon

Ingredients:

1 (2-pound) salmon fillet
Paula Deen House Seasoning (that's salt, pepper and garlic powder ;) )
1 small red bell pepper, julienne
1 small green bell pepper, julienne
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1 medium orange, sectioned and seeded
1 pint strawberries, cleaned and sliced
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup chopped fresh chervil or baby dill
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
2 lemons, juiced

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place salmon fillet on a foil-lined pan. Season with House Seasoning, then cover and surround fish with red and green bell pepper, onion, and sectioned orange slices. Mix strawberries, water, honey, chervil or dill, garlic and green onions together. Pour lemon juice over salmon. Ladle strawberry mixture evenly over salmon. Cover with foil and pierce foil, allowing steam to escape. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with rice.

Servings: 4 servings

Interesting salmon dish. I might just have to try that. Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2

A little food porn later. :)

Just the thought of roasted fruits was intriguing, but the salmon sounds interesting...DW may not go for it, but me and the in-laws would...
