2 rooms at Pop with 7 day base tickets with free dining total was:

Do any of you go for the insurance they offer?
I know you can cancel for full refund 45 days prior to your visit...is the insurance worth the extra $$$???

hopefully we will be able to keep our ressies...with the economy who knows

4 adults...difference is between value and regular season...we were going to do Oct. 3rd thru Oct. 10th but it was a difference of $150 per room...not worth that for a week for us.

it switches from Value to regular on Oct. 3rd according to the Disney guy I talked to.

I believe the CM you spoke to was wrong. Value Season ends on Oct 1st and Regular Season resort rates begin Oct 2-Nov 24 2009. I called CRO to confirm these dates for my own interests (Poly GV rates jump up $60.00 a night :scared1:)...also, they are posted on the Mousesavers website.

Aug 16th to Aug 28th

12 Nights
2 Adults
2 Children Aged 14 & 12
At Pop
1 Day Base Tickets as already have passes from previous trips

$1432.00

Can't wait first timer.. for Free Dining....

I checked our reservation online, it doesn't state the Free Dining.....I also received email confirmation it does have it on there...and some other bits....$15 at Planet Hollywood etc.

I booked yesterday morning online. This trip is for my DD's sweet 16.:woohoo:
We are staying at Beach Club for 7 nights.
1 adult and 3 teens.
$3839 for standard room and 8 day park hopper tickets. :yay:
I'm pretty excited, can't wait to start planning!

I booked 4 nights starting 9/4 at Pop for 2 adults, 1 child. I got a one day ticket (no park hopper) for $600.

Then we will be purchasing the Florida resident 3 day play pass w/ waterparks & more (an additional 3 days at the water parks) for $441. And they don't expire for 180 days!

So for 4 nights, 4 days in the parks, and 3 days at the water parks, we are paying $1041 for the three of us! I thought it was a great deal!

Use your 1 day ticket to upgrade to the FL resident pass. Personally I'd upgrade to seasonal passes it will be almost $500 to do that but you will have the whole year minus blackout dates to return (plus you can parkhop at no extra price). We did the waterparks and more when Pleasure Island was still open the girls used them once. Myself and DD15 returned within the 6 months and went to the Comedy Warehouse.

Can I do that? I know that I couldn't just buy the FL resident pass and still get the free dining, so I'm not sure if I can upgrade once I get there. I will have to see!

I'm a FL resident and I've doing it since free dining started in 2005. The first time we were told to buy the 3 day tickets and they would refund the 1 day ticket at Guest Services in Downtown Disney. Last year we did this and the CM said that before checking in next year just go to DTD and have them remove the tickets from the reservation and upgrade the tickets then (make sure to ask only CMs at Guest Services at either the parks or DTD, never at the Hotels they don't know anything at the resorts). I said won't we lose free dining, he said no. He shares the same first name as a famous Punk'd host. I did get the refund for every year (actually 2005 we saved them to use when we renewed our seasonal Passes). It was great in 2007 because we still had 1 day left of theme parks left and they had a promotion of buy a 3 day ticket and get the an extra day free in January and February of 2008. I went to upgrade our 3 day tickets to 4 day tickets and I wasn't charged anything extra. They that offer this year.

Another great way to spread out the cost. Buy the 1 day ticket now, upgrade to 3 day during your trip and next time you go back within the 180 days upgrade to the seasonal passes then. I don't do APs since we only stay onsite and never go during the blackout dates anyway. June through August (way too hot we go to Universal during this time) weeks surrounding Christmas and New Years and Week before and after Easter. The price of a SP is $239.

Here are the details for my daughter and I:
