Well, I have to admit a small obsession of mine... ETSY! No joke, I receive a package from them almost daily since the wedding planning went into full swing. My fiancée is starting to wonder..

.I will list some of the items I bought from Etsy sellers, and there are pictures on my pj too
I bought almost everything, besides my dress, from Etsy as you will see. So hopefully I remember to get it all in
Here goes:
1. Personalized cake knife and 2 forks from Sycamore Hill. I was able to pick the set, and personalize it- I will take a picture for you guys- I can't say enough about this seller, she was great to work with and in the end we have a special and unique set, with our names, date, and our special saying. I also bought two forks, and they have our names on them! I cannot wait to eat cake every anniversary with this set, with my best friend! Here is a picture to give you an idea, and I will post my set soon
2. My bridal headpiece. Here's the deal, my wedding dress is champagne on gold and I did not want to wear a traditional veil. Nothing against them, I just felt I looked like Mary in the school play (Catholic school all my life

) so I wanted a birdcage- since I HEARTTTT the vintage look. However, even though wedding dresses are made in other colors besides white/ivory, finding a headpiece in those colors was near impossible. So, after searching and searching I found "Head Full of Feathers" on etsy.... a seller from England! I contacted her and she was wonderful to work with! I gave her pictures and details on what I liked and I am happy to report that I am in LOVE with my headpiece!! In fact it just came in the mail yesterday. In addition to mine, she also made a head piece for my MOH. I wanted something different, and again vintage feeling. If you are every looking for something like this, she is awesome!
Here are some pics:
3. My bouquet- I did not want flowers so I opted for a brooch bouquet and used "The Ritzy Rose"- again, cannot say enough about her! I found out later that she did the bouquet for Miranda Lambert
That just came in the other day so I will take some pics
However, out of all the wedding planning and creativity, I have to say that the bouquet was the most fun for me. It's unique and me and I will get to keep it and hopefully pass it along some day. I received brooches from both sides of the family and friends and bought some as well from antique stores. I put in brooches that represented my life, our life and all my loves- for instance there is a brooch of our dog and our pet ducks- our favorite hockey team, something from my grandmother and his , brooches representing where we grew up.. New Jersey and a blue crab for a new life in MD. I loved putting it all together and then receiving this beautiful piece! It was really fulfilling.
I also bought personalized hangers for my mom, mother in law, flower girl and BM'S- I will post pictures from them as well. I ordered Disney transfers, Disney makeup cases, jewelry, tote bags, the other BM's headpieces also came from Etsy. Even my mom and mother in law's wristlets for the ceremony were custom made and ordered through Etsy. The list can go on and on.... told you I was a little obsessed. I will post again with pictures, because some of the items I found were so unique and fun that I have to share
Will post more soon!!!!
