I had assumed that the concierge floors were all relatively similar in terms of their food offerings, but I have read that some (YC/BC, Contemporary) just give reheated frozen things you could get at a local Costco, while others (Grand Floridian, AKL, Poly) have food prepared by their resort restaurants that are unique and interesting. The Grand Floridian seems to even offer an entire extra food offering with their afternoon tea.

I was wondering if people who have stayed on a concierge floor in the past year could write about where and when they stayed and what they thought of the food. Did each meal have something interesting and unique? Was it all microwaved frozen food? What were the afternoon offerings like?

We've stayed WL concierge and it didn't seem like from Costco, as far as I could tell! I think perhaps you read what another poster commented about the afternoon snack set-up (goldfish, pretzels, gummy bears). The hot foods we were offered that I can recall were pork dishes. One night it was a bbq pork and the other some sort of pork with a flavor I can't recall. The third night escapes me as for the hot entree. There were soups also.
The breakfast items at all concierge lounges seem to be, based on what other posters have reported, cereals, bagels and pastries. Juices and coffees, of course.
The desserts were not out of this world, as far as I was concerned, but I have heard that the AKL concierge lounge will often set out their signature zebra domes pastry.
We're booked for the AKL concierge this Dec. and I look forward to their hot offerings, which I hear are from Boma and Jiko!

Many years ago, you could almost get a meal in concierge. I remember staying at the GF and the chefs actually came up to the lounge and cooked while you waited in line. That was pretty sweet. Personally, I think the GF has a more extensive/gourmet food offering in it's lounge and I love the afternoon tea with trifle and warm scones. I've stayed at the YC as well and although I wasn't overly impressed, I wouldn't describe their food selection as Costco re-heatables. Each evening they had out 2 hot items, including a nice soup from one of their restaurants. For the most part, the club level lounges are going to include foods that go along with the "theme" of the resort. For example, only the GF serves champagne and afternoon tea, while the AK serves great African smoothies.

The foods they serve on the Atrium Club and Tower Club floors at the Contemporay does not come from Costco. We asked the Cast Members up there where the foods come from and we were told it's provided by the Concourse Steakhouse. So it's made fresh everyday and as for what we thought of the food, it was amaizing. My favorite itmes was the Beef Wellington Puff Pastries are served which they had on Tusday and on Thursday I enjoyed the Chicken Wings and Ribs. My my parents favorite is on Sunday when they serve steamed Shrimp. I know there is always a 2nd hot dish along with the Shrimp, however I forget what it is and I also can't remember the 2nd hot dish along with the Beef Wellington Puff Pastries.

I copied this from my short review from last year -WL Old Faithful Club last December offered  :
WL Old Faithful Club Hours:

What was offered when we were there (I'm sure I've forgotten some items, but it will give you an idea):

*Breakfasts offered different cereals, sliced fruits, danish, 2 kinds of muffins, croissants, bagels, etc. (toaster was there for toasting) whole fruit, yogurt, OJ/cranberry/apple juice, teas, milk, chocolate milk, coffee machines for cappucinos, lattes, mocha, etc. always available when lounge was open- Fruit was always out (bananas, apples, oranges etc)

*Refreshments included mixed nuts, goldfish crackers, gummy bears, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, etc. Ice tea/Lemonade, etc.

(Large bottle waters were always out by ice bucket for all services)

*Wine and cheese - good crackers, tray of cheese cubes (hot pepper/swiss/cheddar/wedge of blue cheese or similiar) veggie plate with dip, wonderful thick sliced bread (I think it was a sourdough, I usually had to have two slices with butter as I love homemade bread!) sometimes with a spread in a bowl next to the basket (one day tomato basil, the next babah ganoush), peanut butter and jelly uncrustables, and on the other side in two le Creuset casseroles/dutch ovens (warning - heavy lids! Kids shouldn't try to lift them) one day of our stay was Minestone (really exceptionally YUMMY!) and the other pan had pork and cabbage, the next day one pan had clam chowder, other pan had beef and bisquits, and the next day one pan had chicken broth with veggies, the other pan had paella. Wines were Merlot (14 Hands), White Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, sorry I don't remember all the beers but Bass Ale and Miller Lite were there in the cooler with Coke and Diet Coke, Sprite, juice boxes and other drinks

*Cordials and desserts - Kahlua, Grand Marnier, etc. Small dessert bites like brownies, magic bars, cookies

Loved it!

The Clubs only provide snacks, appetizers, drinks and desserts...no meals. A few resort offering can be found here http://allearsnet.com/acc/concierge.htm Some foods from the resorts top restaurant are typically a part of the evening offerings...but again...no meals.

I know that they don't offer meals (although we routinely were able to make a dinner out of the Yacht Club's offerings in 1994 and 2001), I just couldn't think of another word to describe the various times when they put out food.

Thanks for all of your postings. The main reason that we were going to do concierge was to get an easy quick continental breakfast every morning and maybe a snack or dessert (and a drink :) ) every so often. I can do my own ADRs and aside from being on a higher floor, we could have room service breakfast every day, buy our own wine, and order room service dessert every night for less than the difference between a Tower MK room and the Atrium Club. We just have always stayed concierge at WDW, but maybe we should downgrade and save a little money.
