Post -Trip Report. Photos on page 9 and 10 - 4/29/2010-05/02/2010

Um.....it's on the left? Huh. I'm totally picturing it different in my mind. LOL

It's sort of where you would think the Nemo Subs would be....

There was one trip where the luggage ALMOST didn't fit in the car. I had 5 checked bags, 3 carry-ons, and 3 backpacks. On the way home we had all of that plus the souvenir duffle. That was the trip DS bought the "thumb piano", so I had to be REALLY careful with the duffle. Last summer we managed with just 4 checked bags. Since we left all the rain gear in the Owner's Locker I think we will be OK with 4 this year. Plus we'll have a washer & dryer in the villa.

I will bring at least 4 pairs of shoes, and I have a pair in the OL already. And per the Packing Mandate, I will be packed in full a minimum of 12 days prior to departure. All 30 outfits, plus whatever else I think I might need. ;)

You sound just like us! :rotfl2:

Guess I’ve done it so many times, I don’t think about it. I obsess more over the cats and who’s taking care of them then I do packing. I also leave a few things out on purpose. Say for instance It starts to get a little chilly and I’m in short sleeves, time for a new Disney Hoody. Not enough t-shirts, oops. Let’s see what they have at the park. Maybe I’ll pick one up there.

I'm all about shoes. Trust me. You should see my closet full of Kenneth Cole. It's ridiculous. :)

But when going to Disney, we won't get going out and about on the town or to bars or fancy restaurants. Just opening to closing at the parks every single day for 3 days, so the only shoes I'll need are tennis. I won't need any accessories like watches, rings, etc. And of course I'll be leaving all the Sister garb at home. :lmao:

I'll have a couple extra tshirts if I need to freshen up and some extra undies in case of an accident or having them ripped off. Neither of which will happen. :rotfl:

I'm a minimalist when packing. Now, if we were staying 7-10 days and planning on going out on the town and dinner with friends, then we would pack other types of outfits and might even bring an extra pair of shoes or two. ;)

Don't be too sure about that one! ;)

You'll have to plan a longer trip sometime so we can get you out on the town. It'd be a hoot to figure our where the Orlando Sisters will be and head out for you to meet them . . .

Well if they get ripped off, it will be by Steven after having too many drinks on Saturday night. LOL

Next trip, we'll definitely contact the Orlando Sisters and more than likely, Manifest with some of them (go out in face and habit) one night if we're a fully professed house by that time. Just means packing our Nungear. Ugh. We're not a fully professed house yet, so we can't go to other cities and manifest, but could meet them at least until then. Plus, we have to have permission to manifest in another city. Lots of rules. :)

I just LOVE the Orlando Sisters Coronets. They look like giant Mickey Ears. Tampa Sisters coronets look like the triangle shaped pirate hats. We tried to have ours look more like a southern bonnet. We might switch ours out to be more Victorian wing like.

I need to put up a thread soon with pics and talk about my experience so far. It's been amazing and lots to tell. The power of white face as we call it, was quite something to experience with people.

The Orlando Sisters are still a Novice house as well. We've met a couple of them (both in and out of Nun Drag). Very cool people.

I know what you mean about the coronets. The first time we saw them at P-house at a distance, I thought it was a bachelorette party wearing mouse ears with veils attached.

Yeah they're in Mission status. Takes up to a full year from that point, to get Fully Professed House. We'll be Mission probably in June or July.

Why is it that we don't hang out together? You live here, don't you?

Yup, we live here in Dallas... :) Dunno why we haven't met up... :confused3

You just have to love the OLs....I'm still trying to convince DP that we NEED to have one...

You should have seen us packing for our 7 day cruise out of Puerto Rico to the Eastern Caribbean....OMG...the shoes alone.... Still not sure how we survived that one, what with 2 formal nights, the beaches, the excursions, the 3 days in Puerto Rico shopping....UGH...we brought back quite a bit...

I'm sooo glad to see that I'm not the only one who prepares for any contingency... DP just rolled his eyes when I told him that there's someone else who packs like me...lol

... and what if your underwear gets ripped off you!?!
(You might want extra - I know of what I speak.)

... And here I thought you missed my little quip. ;)
