Baggallini Messenger. Done!

I HATE the flaps! If only I could find a nice shoulder/cross body messenger style bag that didn't have the big stupid flap...
I have been using the Urban back pack as my summer bag for two years. I love it. I can fit so much stuff in it. Wallet, sunscreen, digital camera, bottle of water... It is my favorite bag.
These bags now hang on their bedroom walls as the "ultimate souvinier"... they do use them for school bags occasionally - but not in the winter because the bags do not fit that much gear! I hope you enjoy, it was a lot of fun to watch the transformation of these bags... my girls even had "reserved sections" on them - youngest dd saved the front of her bag for the Pooh and Fairy characters - once they signed, she opened the front for anyone because she had run out of room everywhere else.
D~
Thanks for all these bag tips!!![]()
I've never been before, and I was wondering, can you take smallish bags on rides with you? is there any room for them if you keep them on you (strap around your shoulder etc) are they safe? I just think I'd prefer to keep my bag with me to try and stop myself from forgetting where I've put it etc thanks for any help!![]()
I think I might breakdown and get the baggallini. There are so many. Which one should I get? Is it the Ripstop Nylon Messenger bag that so many people like?
Where is the best place to get it? QVC has it for $33.50 + $5 shipping.

eBags has the ECO messenger on closeout for $29.99, but I'm not too fond of the colors.
So, Bag Experts..... where's the best place to get the Baggallini and what's the best one to get?
Personally I like the ripstop nylon because it's light in weight but mostly they have lots of pretty colors to choose from. The cheapest place to get your baggallini would be shoebuy.com, free shipping and free returns their listed for $37.45, but if you use the save10 code you'll get $10 off, when your checking out you'll be given the option to register which will take another %10 off the price, it should come out close to $25 No one can beat the price, free shipping or returns, not to mention the color choices. When I go to the site I type in the search-baggallini, and almost to the bottom of the page has the style to pick from, pick messenger and then I think it's at the bottom of the first page they'll start, you have to go to the second page to get all the pretty colors for the ripstop.
I've gotten quiet a few in lots of different colors, lime green, "pink" which is really fuchsia-
one of my most favs, turquoise aka as mermaid blue in our house
, periwinkle
, and purple
-which I love! -it's dark enough to not see dirt, and I think that's it! Hope I've helped.
Oh! If you want more than one than I suggest ordering them separately, that way you can get the full discount. I say why not! It's not like your paying shipping and this way you'll get the $10 off and the %10 off for every bag you order.
If there was an "overpackers anonymous" I would be the president. I think the easiest thing to do is post what I plan to take in the park & get some feedback on what bag you guys think will work best for me. Here goes: sunscreen, wipes, germx, tylenol, camera (w/extra battery & mem. card), cash, 2 extra shirts (for the kids), bandaids, a few snacks, a couple bottles of water. I also may end up carrying my 2 kids autograph books, lanyards, & sharpies. I just feel like I need a huge suitcase to carry in!! Please help me decide what bag to use.
Here's my travel bag:

It's from REI, and I paid about $20 on sale. Linky: http://www.rei.com/product/747932
I like that it's PADDED. If I'm keeping my Treo and a camera in it, I want it to be cushioned in case I drop it. I like the zipper compartment on the side to keep a water bottle. I even used the strap as a lanyard for my pins!
My most important suggestion is to become familiar with how you organize your stuff. I like to be able to quickly grab what I need, without having to rummage all around to find what I want.
Thank you! This is exactly the info I need. Do you have any picks of carrying the Baggallini in the parks? I would love to see pics of the lime, pink and purple in action! I can't decide which color to get.
I'm going to quote myself now:
I kept a small bottle of sun lotion in it (I also brought a big bottle, and left it in the room. We filled the little one as needed.) I also had wipes, individual packets of antibacterial gel, Tylenol, camera, extra batteries, my cell phone, bandaids, one bottle of water, 2 autograph books and sharpies. The only thing from your list I didn't have in it was the 2 shirts, snacks and only one bottle of water. I'm sure I could have fit the 2 shirts in, at least. We were on the dining plan, so I didn't bring any snacks.
I kept additional stuff in mine, though, that you didn't mention. Things like feminine supplies, and a few mini M&M tubes filled with pennies and quarters for the pressed penny machine. I also kept a few precious pins stored inside, that I didn't want to risk losing off the strap.
