Post pics of your bag you carry into park

I'm crazy about bags too. I've ordered 2 Vera Bradley hipsters and one tote. I love them but they aren't going to Disney. I have ordered 2 Heys Travel Mates, I thought they would be perfect but after carrying them for a few days I really didn't like the front flap. Then I found the Derek Alexander top zip and it is perfect except it doesn't hold a water bottle. So, as a last resort, I went to JoAnn's bought some black mesh and put a mesh bottle holder on it where the cell phone holder was. It is now perfect! I love the little top zip pocket that is not very deep. It will be perfect for the tickets (card keys) and a little money. It's a shame they don't come in cooler colors though. I absolutely love the animal prints the Baggallini messenger now comes in.

I know it's 6 months later, Castle Crazy, but did you ever post a picture of the modifications? I'm thinking about getting this bag and would love to know how you did it. I'm not much of a sewer. :confused3

I bought this bag maybe 5 years ago in the World. My family has been to the World probably 12x while living in MA. We are now living in CA and go to the Land every other week. I love this bag. Holds everything. I will say everyone stares at this bag when I am in line waiting for a ride or food as it says WORLD on it. I find the Land has more CA natives while the World has people from all over the country and world. I also took a pic of my camera bag....I love all those little Mickey heads they are selling. :mickeyjum

I also have this bag, and it's my carry-on for the plan that I use for any delicate souvenirs. I wouldn't want to carry it in the parks, though. I guess it would be OK to leave in a stroller, but I prefer something like a small backpack with padded straps to more evenly distribute the weight as opposed to this that would just hang on one shoulder.

I also have this bag

:wave2: Wow, 2 DISer's with this bag...ya, I do not have small ones anymore. Just DH & I and occasionally DS23yo will go with us to the LAND. I use it to throw hats, wallets, glasses, sweatshirts in (as well as my wallet/id's) if the guys run on to any of the roller coaster rides. After all these years, it still looks great!!

I should probably get a LAND one now that I am living out here!! :goodvibes

I have that same bag also, got it in 2002! and still like new. I wont use it in park, but I use it for boating at home and for carry on when traveling. I have a diaper bag but still want a tiny bag for tix and money and camera. I will leave diaper bag in stroller but want something "on me" for rides.

Hi! I am looking at the Vera Bradley Messenger bag! Has anyone else used one?? I have a 2/12 yo, so no diapers, but extra pull-ups just in case!:rotfl: Also sippy cup, autograph book, small toys, wipes, snacks, and a change of clothes in addition to camera, ponchos, first aid kit, and Mommy misc!:lmao: Just wondering if this would work? :rotfl:

Hi! I have this bag, but I use it to carry my laptop in. I would think that it would be great for what you want it for. The strap is really nice and there is lots of room inside, plus the three pockets inside on the side and the big zip pocket on the back. This bag is on sale right now at my hallmark for 50% off. :)

I use the Vera Bradley Villager bag http://www.verabradley.com/Site/Store/ProductDetail.aspx?dept=7&sku=10326:23 as my diaper bag/camera bag. Last year I had 2 little ones in diapers so I was carrying diapers for 2, wipes, bibs, sippy cups, wallet, sunglasses, sunblock - travel size, mommy misc stuff, Canon XTi w/ 2lenses, extra battery and memory cards. This year only 1 will be in diapers!

It was a great bag and I really liked that it was a zippered bag rather than a magnetic or toggle closure so nothing could fall out.

What a great thread---I have collected diaper bags for a while and this thread reminded me that I have not bought a ne bag in a LOOONG time.

Last year DH actually used my Overland Donner bag--it was a grey/mustard color from I believe 2 years ago--he loved it. He was able to carry his camera, video camera, water bottle, ickets, keys, maps, and of course the lanyards and pins with no problems.

I carried a skip hop duo bag with all my daily stuff and the kids stuff--a bit heavy as I am a heavy packer.

This time I think I will order DD who is 9 her own bag the disney small messenger bag--so she can carry her pins, lanyards, autograph book and water bottle. May get DH the same for his stuff.

I think i may want to order the Baggalinni or the updated Donner bag.

I have this same bag in blue, bought it in 2002 on our first trip to Disney. This is the only bag I use when in the parks. I need something that is big enough to hold my camera bag, and my camcorder if I decide to take it in for the day. Plus anything the kids get tired of carrying. I am not a backpack person and I tried the baggallini messenger but I hate the crossbody look and feel. I prefer a shoulder bag and this one seems to fit the bill. We got caught in a downpour at AK last trip and this bag kept everything pretty dry. Can't ask for more than that. :thumbsup2

I use a small packback that I had originally bought for my granddaughter. It's by Avanti. I can put some Walmart rain ponchos in it, my wallet, camera, tickets, brush, lipgloss, and other sundry things, like one of those little fans. I like it cause it doesn't weigh me down and I can just turn it around on my front when going on rides. It's small enough to go into the bins at Soarin' and Mission Space, etc. I think because it was made for a smaller person, it sits higher up and doen't make my back ache. The kid doesn't get it back!

I finally got to see a baggallini in person yesterday at a local luggage store, and I had a water bottle with me and it fit in the mesh pocket, so I think I'm going with that. My sister got a look at some bags and is trying to figure out what they'll bring.

Has anyone used either or both of those Avon Mickey Mouse bags in the parks? How are they? They look great on the web but I'm wondering if anyone has used them? I last used a VB mini hispter and a mini bagallini. I like the VB because the fabric is soft on my neck but it's a bit too small. The little bagallini-- the strap broke my first day and I had to tie the strap onto the holder so I'm off that brand now..

I purchased both but have not used them yet. They are cute and made of a canvas material. For the cross body bag, a larger person wouldn't be comfortable with it on. The straps do not look or feel like they will bother me. It is not a huge bag by any means but I will be able to fit our tickets, fast passes, camera, a few small snacks, wallet, ponchos and pocket umbrella in there. The other bag I'm going to use as a carry on. Hope this helps

Our favorite park bags are actually toddler backpacks that Children's Place has each year at back-to-school time. They're a wonderful size because it keeps you from putting too much stuff in them and weighing them down. And even though they were sold in the toddler/baby section, my 6' tall DH can carry it fine! Each year they change their design slightly, and our favorite is from about 4 years back!

LillyFrog73--thanks for responding. Great photos! I think you are right about the straps. They look canvas. Guess I'll just have to force myself to buy a new VB Hipster!

Well, I've been at Disney all week. After the first day, I just wore bermuda cargo type shorts with pockets just above the knees. All I needed each day were my photopass card, my room card, a park map and tinted lip balm, so I buttoned those into into the bottom pocket and didn't have to stop at the bag line.

BFF was with us 4 of the 6 days we visited the parks, and she usually carries one of those purses that are the size of a suitcase. She borrowed my old Travelon clone bag and loved it. It carried all of her cash and other necessities, but didn't strain and stayed in place all day. As I just picked up a green suede Travelon bag, I asked her if she wanted to keep it at the end of the week. . .and now that bag (which had been living on the purse shelf of my closet for about 4 years) has a 3rd life (I got it at a yard sale for a buck 8 or so years ago)!

which material is better for the baggallini messenger bagg: crinkle nylon, rip stop nylon or the Eco messenger bagg? Does it depend on what you put in it?

I have the rip-stop nylon and feel it is 'cheap'. Would have liked something with a little more sturdiness. I do know they make a more solid fabric (maybe the ECO?) as they had one on sale at TJ Maxx for $19.99...after I already bought mine...figures. I checked all the tags to see what the fabric was but it didn't say.
