Post Photos of Hotels Here...DLH, HoJo, BWPPI, DI&S, CCI...etc.

Nice photos. They do have a good AAA rate. I think if I rebooked it would be an $80 savings, however, I don't think they include breakfast, do they? Bay Club does. Also, Bay Club will pick us up at the train station and bring us over to pick up our rental car. That might be worth the difference in $$.

The Best Western was always my second choice.

Well...off the do some housework before work.

Thanks for taking the time to reply & post photos.

They don't have breakfast at the Best Western. We are not big breakfast people although we did eat breakfast one morning at the hotel. It was nice but a bit pricey. I think it was $35.00 for the two of us. There is a wonderful place called Marvelous Muffins on 2907 Shelter Island Drive, near the hotel (abit less than a mile away). They had wonderful muffins, pastries, sandwiches and coffee. We got breakfast there and brought it back to the hotel.

Yum...the muffins place sounds good too.

Can you recommend any places for dinner? We have an 11 year old.

Did you go to the Gaslamp Quarter area? I am not sure if that is what it is called. Sounds a bit like Fanueil Hall. If you went, is it worth a trip?

Was the Zoo an all day adventure? I imagine that it is.

DId you visit any beaches? Notice, I am still not getting anything done :rotfl:

For dinner, believe it or not, we ate at McDonalds the second night. The first night we ate at the hotel because of the long day we had flying in and driving. The next night we ate Miguel's. YUM

We did not go to the Gaslamp Quarter. We did venture to Coronado. Beautiful.

The zoo was pretty much an all day adventure. We got there about 9:30 am and left about 4:00 pm.

As for beaches, this is what we did. On our drive back to Anaheim, we stopped at Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and LaJolla Cove. Mission and Pacific beach are your typical beaches. Mission is better. LaJolla Cove is spectacular. Not a typical beach. While we were there, we were entertained by about 100 or so sea lions/seals. Close enough to take wonderful pictures.

Driving around San Diego was not a problem.

How was the parking situation in San Diego? I've been hearing that a lot of hotels charge an arm and half a leg for parking and that there is no municipal parking available for those who want to park and do a walking tour. I've read that some recommend the trolley for sightseeing, etc. Did you do any sightseeing other than the zoo and if o how was the parking situation?
Thanks!

There was no charge for parking at the hotel we stayed at.

We did go to Coronado and found a spot near the beach no problem. We also noticed available parking spaces in the area of the shops and the marina. We were only in San Diego for 2-1/2 days so we didn't do much sightseeing.

Awesome photos - will definitely have to check out LaJolla Cove. Beautiful shoreline.

GO BRUINS & CELTS!

Bumping...Please post photos of all the hotels you've stayed at whether you recommend them or not. A picture says a thousand words and all that stuff, so post them up and share with us! And please do a mini review so people have things they can take into consideration when weighing out all the options. :cheer2::yay::banana::dance3::cheer2::cool1:

We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort On Manchester (good neighbor hotel) Book through SWA. June 4th- 8th I will post some pic's when we return. Has anyone ever stayed at this hotel? Have seen no reviews on this board. :cheer2:

This is a stretch,,, but looking for pics of Anaheim marriott suites, Peacock suites, or Anaheim Hilton. Thanks!

Here are photos of a 1 King bed accomodation at the Fairfield Inn! We were just there and I made sure that we had plenty of room photos. :) The room was very nice and housekeeping did a great job every day. It's hard to see in the photo, but the shower tile and tub were in *excellent* condition, very clean and new. The bed was firm and in great shape - no lumps or dips.

Yep, that's the fridge. lol!

I never noticed much 'neighbor' noise; we never heard footsteps above or below us and very little sound from the adjoining rooms. :thumbsup2 The a/c unit was pretty quiet for wall units and did a snap job of heating and cooling fast!

This was our 2nd stay at the FFI and we welcome more visits in the future.

The Fairfield Inn looks very nice :thumbsup2
Where is it located in regard to DL?

It is east of McDonalds and right next door to McDonalds.

If you park in the Disneyland parking structure and if you load at the front of the trams at the northeast corner then you will walk further than staying at Fairfield.

it is 1300 to 2500 feet from the parking garage to the tram then from the tram to the Main Gate. if you have strollers or disabled guests then it is a long wait at times to get on the pair of elevators. From the farthest corner of Fairfield Inn to the Main Gate is under 2400 feet.

The above are estimates and you mileage may vary.:lmao:

All the above. :) The FFI is among the hotels situated on Harbor Blvd that are within walking distance to the Disneyland entrance. It's on the north section of Harbor Blvd, adjacent to Millie's, Mimi's Cafe and McDonalds, and is neighbor to the south of HoJo's. Across the street from the FFI is DL itself! It's screened off with the berm, hedges and trees so you can't see into the park, but if you go on the upper floors, you can see the top of the Matterhorn, Space Mountain and further in the distance, parts of California Adventure.

It's an easy walk to the park and usually I can make it to the front gates within 5-7 minutes.

Use Google maps or http://maps.live.com/ to see how the hotel is situated near the park. Here's the hotel address:

1460 south harbor boulevard, anaheim, ca 92802

Yeay! Great photos of FFI, thanks for posting them! Boy that tub and shower is so clean it sparkles. I absolutely love that they decorate the room with disney pics! How cool!:dance3:
