Post Photos of Hotels Here...DLH, HoJo, BWPPI, DI&S, CCI...etc.

I agree! I always thought the rooms at DH looked dinghy and the couch looked dirty. I would never stay there. The PP looks really nice. :thumbsup2

I am a big fan of DLH. This is from the August 2008 trip. Don't have many that are not already posted, but here goes:

And... had to throw in a pic of my very own Princess- Bella DD2!
I know how helpful it was to view traveller pics of hotel before choosing a hotel. Hope this helps someone else!

Very nice views!!!!!!! wonderful pictures and that little one is beautiful!!!

Thank you Teatime! I am not crazy about paying resort hotel prices, but having a little one that needs an afternoon nap convinced me!lol! I must say that after having a room with awesome views like that (which makes it seem that you never really leave the parks) has made me and DBF DIsney resort hotel snobs, lol! We were definitely spoiled. Right next door to our room was the Mickey MOuse Penthouse suite. I saw an oriental family coming out of it one day and almost broke my neck trying to see what it looks like inside. :worship: My dream is to stay there one trip -notice I say dream, not likely to happen!lol!
Thank you for the comments on my DD! She is the apple of my eye and as you can see she is Cinderella's biggest fan!

This past week we stayed at the Hotel Menage. We really really enjoyed this hotel. It's right on the corner of Ball Road and Harbor Blvd with the 5 running behind the hotel. We didn't walk, we have free parking on our APs so we just made a U turn on Ball Rd and we straight to the parking structure, but we did see people walking over the freeway bridge and down Harbor. It didn't look too far.

I read lots of reviews and the main complaint I read about the hotel was that the freeway noise was just way too loud and to request a room away from the freeway. Well, I requested a room with a pool view, which also happened to be right next to the freeway and the noise wasn't bad at all. It is very loud when you have your door open (the hotel has exterior corridors), but with the door shut you can't hear a thing.

I was a little unsure about staying at a hotel with exterior corridors, but the hotel is covered with a gate and you need your room key to enter the parking lot and the gate to get to the rooms. So that made me feel a lot better.

Anyways, I really recommend this hotel. The staff was super nice, it was very clean and the bed was really comfy.

Pictures anyone?

We had a king bed.

I emailed ahead of time and requested a mini fridge. It was in our room before we got there.

Toilet. I liked this because you got to choose how much water you wanted when you flush. You could either pick a full flush or a half flush. I thought it was really neat.

Our view from our door. To the right was the 5 freeway, the Matterhorn and TDA (Disneyland Corporate). Down below was the pool.

That looks really nice prettyprincessbelle! I'm one of those not bothered by freeway noise either, espcially if it's mostly gone with the patio door closed. Did they have their own shuttle, or are they part of the ART system? Do they have a restaurant on site? did you get any pics of the pool or the grounds? thanks for posting!

prettyprincessbelle, thank you for the report and photos. That bed reminds me of a trip I won to New York City. It was a $500 a night hotel and very chic. I am glad to see you did not find anything wrong with the hotel. For sound sleepers like me freeways are no problem.

I can see traces of its former self in the structural stuff but the decor and amenities seem to make it a hotel I would like to try. I should try it out some day. Very nice looking room. :thumbsup2

I stayed there a few years ago and then it was nice. the staff were so nice, really nice and helpful. I liked this motel, the pool was great and the rooms were very clean.

prettyprincessbelle thanks for posting the photos! :cheer2:The place looks really nice. Did you score this one from Hotels.com or hotwire? I saw a lot of good deals being offered on this property in the last few weeks, but hadn't heard much about it so that's why I didn't book. It's definitely one to consider for price and location. What was the average room rate, if you don't mind my asking. Would you stay there again? Do you know if they participate in ART services?
Thanks!:yay:

Thanks for the pictures of Hotel Menage. On our last visit we drove past it to get to the parks. I remember how it caught my eye because of the decor and it did not seem far from the parks. I have definitely read mixed reviews, but upon visiting the website I saw that it was a boutique hotel w/ lots of charm. I am a big fan of boutique hotels and have always had great service from the staff when staying at them. Love the bed, very nice! I especially like the toilet feature, how cool !:cool1:

Great pics Courtney. Thanks for posting. I may have to give that place a try.

I believe they used ART. Since we drove, I didn't really pay attention, but I think I remember reading they used the ART system. They do have a restaurant. We ordered room service one night and it was really good!!!! :goodvibes

I didn't get any pictures of the pool or grounds. But it was very pretty. The pool was really nice looking too!

You're very welcome. My Mom said the same thing about the room looking New York.

You're welcome! I got it on hotels.com! It seems average is around $70-$80/night. But the week of that we booked, hotels.com had a deal with buy 2 nights get 1 free. So with taxes and everything it came out to about $60/night. But I noticed that that week was $90/night. So that's how it came out to $60 with the free night. I'm looking at that hotel on hotels.com for a weekend in August and it has it at $82/night. Through the hotel itself it's over $100/night. We would definitely stay there again! And I do believe they did have ART.

:) It was really nice. We enjoyed it.

The menu really looks good... my favorites, mahi mahi and vanilla creme brulee...

I had the calamari (I wasn't too hungry) and DBF had the gyro and fries. He ate it all and my calamari was super yummy. The room service was great. The breakfast looked really good too, but we didn't get a chance to try it.

Great pics Courtney. Thanks for posting. I may have to give that place a try.

You're welcome, Stacie! :thumbsup2

Spacermaid, is this the room that has the double beds as opposed to the Queen beds? Do you recall what building you were in? Was there a balcony?
Thanks!

I was in Building 6, overlooking the pool. Yes, it's one of the double bed rooms; the bed was soooooo comfortable! I *think* there was a small balcony- it was pouring rain during my trip, so I didn't go out to investigate!

Giving this a "BUMP" since it's loaded with great information for those looking for motel/hotels!!!!
