Post-Med Cruise visit to DLP, when to go to hotel?

So H & I just booked a 6 day cruise around the Med for our 10th wedding anniversary in April 2017. We will embark in Spain and disembark in France (Marseille) on a Saturday. We can leave the ship at 7am, but we are first time cruisers and I have no idea how long it will take to get off.

Our plan is to fly back to the US on Monday evening (or Tuesday if it's a lot cheaper). I am insisting on hitting up DLP, so I'm trying to find the plan that makes the most sense. We will spend the night in a DLP hotel, if that matters.

So, should we go straight from Marseille (via train, about 4 hours) to our DLP hotel? Or, since we're already missing half of a day, should we stay somewhere close by, or even in Paris proper, and go to the DLP hotel bright & early Sunday morning, staying until Monday?

Looking for any help we can get!

if you book through Disneyland Paris website and stay onsite at one of the 6 hotel, it will be a package price that comes up on the website. This means you will get park tickets for your arrival day and your departure day, room and breakfast.

You can book through ANY country website, not just the country you live in. In fact the USA website is notoriously far more expensive than the European websites.

Websites to check are
www.disneylandparis.co.uk
www.disneylandparis.ie
www.disneylandparis.fr
www.disneylandparis.nl
www.disneylandparis.be
www.disneylandparis.de
www.disneylandparis.it

Unless you specifically want to see Paris city, then I would go direct to Disneyland Paris after you get off the ship. This way you can get your bearings, see a couple of things and then have at least one full day in the parks. If you stay onsite this means you can get more than one EMH.

So if it were me I would
Saturday
Leave Ship
Travel to DLP
Check in to onsite hotel
Have a few hours in the park, see Dreams

Sunday
EMH
Full day in the parks

Monday
EMH
Morning in the parks
Magic Shuttle to Charles de Gaulle
Fly home Monday afternoon

Excellent advice, thank you very much!

Which cruiseline are you sailing?
We sailed MSC and disembarked in Marseille.
We took our own luggage of the ship( needed to confirm that at
reception 1 or 2 days before) and where of the within 1 hour of docking.

I would definitely try to fly out Tues. Sat is a travel day for you, as you have to get off the ship, then train for 4 hours, then connect to DLP (unless there is a TGV direct to DLP), settle in hotel. By then, you will likely just want to get some dinner and relax. If you're all the way in Europe, why not stay an extra day. To fill in the extra day, if you don't want to go into DLP again, I highly suggest, Provins--the #50 bus departs right from DLP train/bus station (Chessy) to Provins, a lovely medieval town. It's a 45 minute ride for 3 euros each way (safe, clean, easy).

We're sailing on Norwegian. We actually had an MSC cruise on "hold" but the reviews of the ship (Armonia) scared me off, so we went with NCL. This cruise is shorter (6 days vs. 8 on MSC) and that worked out better for our schedule, and they were running a promotion with a free beverage package so my H was sold once he heard that!

I'm pushing for Tuesday, while my H doesn't want to take TOO much time off work.. we'll see who wins!
