So it has been two months since our trip to WDW and I miss it so much. Everything I see, I think of Disney. I started planning another trip, but that makes it worse. The bad thing is that I might be able to in only two years. And that is only if the economy gets better. Help?

Lol why do you think we all hang out here all day? Pull up a chair grab some popcorn and dive in. I like to start off looking at resort pics then I head off for some lunch on the food porn thread then it is off to the parks on the theme parks boards.

I'm right there with you, I feel your pain! We (husband & I) were there in April & I won't be going again til April of 2014 (provided we can save enough). To make matters worse, husband is a HS band teacher & will be going in March for 4 nights with his school. All he talks about is Disney & I have to listen to how excited he is, talk about painful:headache: So take heart, you aren't the only one with mega withdrawal, there are tons of us going thru it too:)

yup... I only lurked around here before DH and I planned our first trip together this summer (notice the looowww post count). But now I can't stop looking at pictures, thinking, "when we go back..."

Thankfully I told DH and while we agreed we can't go back this year, he says he doesn't think I'm crazy and he still loves me  sooooo until then, back to the DISboards it is! I figure it's more fun to jump in and start posting/interacting with people.

And hopefully we can go again soon so I can post disney eye candy for everyone else.... what's bad is that I'm now trying to find excuses to go back. People wonder how Disney makes money... haha!

What would you do differently when you go back?

I can tell you, I go the week after Thanksgiving every year, but my mom wanted to do something with me, so we are going to Williamsburg this year. I love the area and have never done it at Christmastime, so it will be wonderful I am sure, but I will miss my Disney trip this year.

Normally I would be starting to gear up for my trip about a week or two from now. When I feel blue, I go down to the vending machine at my office, buy a rice crispie treat, bring it back to my office, put it over a pencil (not sharpened) and shape it into a mickey mouse head and have a good "pity party".

But luckily I am making up for it by going twice next year! How cool is that?:thumbsup2

I know how your all feeling its been 2 months since i last went and even worse being a student in university trying to afford to go back. Way i do it is just plan and make up trips and hope i win the lottery soon so i can take one of the trips i make up haha

I understand completely! I had these exact same feelings every time we left, I hated having to wait to go back. Which is why we moved to Florida and I could not be happier. Now we can go to Disney any time with the magic at our fingertips. People use to ask me if we ever got tired coming on vacation year after year and I always replied no, after I moved here, some still ask, others no better by now :thumbsup2

If even planning another trip adds to your depression, then maybe it's time for a new diversion that has nothing to do with Disney. Get off the Disboards. Back away from the Disney Channel. And take the Illuminations soundtrack off of your iPod.

Plan your Halloween costume (no Disney Characters allowed!). Start your holiday shopping (stay out of the Disney Store). Plan a long-term project like scrapbooking your loose photos (skip the ones from past Disney trips).

You'll feel better soon. Sometimes the only antidote for the post-vacation blues is to avoid the things that remind yourself of what you're longing for.

I always yearn for Disney the most right after I return. That is so weird. The further removed I get from the trip, the better it gets. But I always want to be there! *sigh* :coffee:

I think you all need to get a life. How can you always be thinking about WDW, and playing on the DIS...

As I point my finger at all of you I notice there are three more pointing back at me. :lmao:

My name is Goofy4prez and I am a Disney addict. :rotfl2:

Too funny.:lmao::rotfl2:

I feel your pain sister. I was good for a few weeks after our cruise this summer but now I'm back to trolling the Disboards, pricing and repricing trips a thousand times, for different weeks, different times of year, different resorts, different tickets, different airlines, etc, etc, etc...:rolleyes1

Besides planning your trip do what I do. I am taking great joy in finding new and innventive ways to save for the trip. Shop around for new car insurance (switched from geico to 21st century, saved $1200.00 a year). Shop for new homeowners insurance (saved $367.50 a year). Plan a garage sale (it takes a lot of time and effort) to make money for the vacation fund. Diligently recycle your cans and bottles (if required in your location) last year put over $300.00 in the fund (wife drinks alot of soda and I enjoy my beers). Not only will all these things put money in the vacation fund they will also keep you otherwise occupied and not thinking so much about how much you miss, as I do, the wonderful Disney experience

OP, I definitely understand where you are coming from. We have not been to Disney since last year and we really miss it:sad1: We have two trips planned next year but that is so far away. But I come on the DisBoards and it helps a little;)

That's funny. I told my sister I've booked for next year and she said "you do know there is other places to go besides Disney"

I have paid my deposit and don't need to pay until next July. This gives me a real incentive to work my butt off. I am lucky enough to get a lot of overtime if I want to.

But have fun thinking of other ways to make money. Have a garage full of stuff - my family give me their stuff they want to throw and I try and sell it, they let me keep the money too!
We stop eating out and much and I do my weekly food shop online and get it delivered. So I keep track of exactly what I'm spending.

If you have a date in your head you'll be returning plan for it but if you can't afford bump it a little further away.

Don't get depressed though. Post holiday blues are not nice. You can always get your disney fix off here for a bit! :)

Very very cool, and thanks for the lesson! I love your unique ink!

We just got back last week. First week entire family got colds (have no idea how daughter's cake was since my taste buds were MIA) and we all got food poisoning/viruses the second week and spent much time in the hotel, but we were blessed to have a few great days! Husband wants to see Mt. Rushmore but my heart wants another Mickey vaca!

Help friends plan their Disney trips! We leave in.......15 days! And usually go every year, but in between I LOVE helping others plan their trips. Whether its helping them make dining reservations, explaining EMH, or just answering their questions, it gives me the fix I need:cloud9:
