In the past few years, DH has gotten several postcards with codes sent to him at work while we've gotten none at home. We finally figured this out-he has ordered a couple things from WDW merchandise as Christmas gifts. You know, that number you can call if you saw something in the parks and decide after you get home that you really need it. And he's always had them sent to him at work (to preserve the surprise). Maybe that's the list Disney works off of? All our reservations have been with our home address, yet we've never gotten any postcards here. Anyone else?

Well, its a good thought, but I have ordered twice from WDW Merchandising and haven't received a single postcard.

and I get those postcards every year! We haven't been to WDW since 2000.We're going next June/July and it will be interesting to see if we get a postcard! I have the last postcard on my refrigerator!

I've gotten those postcards at work and at home. I think it's because I used my work address and credit card for reservations once, but a long time ago I filled out a commet card on my stay at Dixie Landings and used my home address on it. The postcards started to arrive at my home after that. I think they use different lists to generate different cards. I've noticed on these boards that someones would be for a moderate hotel and some for a deluxe durring the same time frame. WHO KNOWS!!!! I did want to be on the e mail list and would sign up for anything disney including my email address whenever I could. No luck for years!! Then just a little while ago I got a postcard and called the phone number on it. I was not going to be able to go during the dates it was offered. I explained this to the very friendly woman on the phone. She had nothing else to offer me room wise but asked for my email address so she could add it to the list when they do email offers!! YEAH!!! It worked!!! I received my first email offer shortly after that. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I don't think there's a rhyme or reason to getting a postcard. I've bought so much stuff, been so many times, signed up on every single thing I can...etc etc and I've never, ever gotten a postcard.

I WANT ONE!

P.S. Sorry for "yelling"

Don't think that is it either! I buy from Disney merchandise quite a bit, have APs. DC, and even stock and I don't get postcards. My mother, on the other hand, always gets postcards sent to my house but in her name. She has never lived here so I have no idea what that is about. She has never ordered anything Disney, belongs to no clubs but does have an AP. We go to WDW twice a year but it is always in my name. I figured Disney wants the ones they think doesn't come often and since it is my name on the reservation they go after my mother. DH has even gotten the cards sometimes and never goes with us.

I don't think there is a pattern.

Several weeks ago, I posted about something (don't even remember what). Someone who works in one of the Disney offices posted and said that right now Disney does not have a good tracking method for repeat/perferred customers. It's strickly random. However, they are working on getting a better method. It's also related to the disbanding of the old Disney club and starting of the credit card programs.

So, until their system is better defined, I think the best "solution" is sign up for everything you can and **hope** you get one of the random offers.

I think it's completely random. Last year I planned our Thanksgiving vacation and included my parents. All reservations were made under MY name, MY address, on MY Disney Club Card, yet about a month ago I received a post card addressed to my mother, who does not live at my address. Go figure

I just got a postcard yesterday!! I was so excited, I have no idea why, because I can't use it, LOL. It just felt good to see it in my mailbox. We stayed at OKW last year in Dec. and the post card came yesterday for a deluxe - maybe they are thinking sending it now would make us consider going for Christmas time again?

We stayed at POR in 2000 and have moved since then. I got a postcard at my old address a couple months back for $88 a night a moderates Aug-Oct but already had reservations and couldn't go at that time.

I got a postcard not long ago.
And when I rec'd my confirmation, it read something about me being a DC member.
But I think it all is at random too. Just luck of the draw.

All of my confirmations says that I'm a DC member and I've never used my DC to book a room. They just have it in the system and it gets printed on your reservation. That's it.
