Possible to upgrade 1 day ticket?

I did a search but couldn't find the answer. We're going to have a full day at UO and am staying at HRH which gives us express passes. We're thinking we may only need to be in the parks for the one day to do everything and thought about purchasing a one day park to park ticket. If we decide we want to spend more days, are we able to upgrade that ticket and if so do we have to do it that day? The cost is about $550 between a 1 day and 2 day park to park. We'd probably just upgrade to the cheapest annual pass if we did upgrade.

You need to upgrade the day you are there in order to get the value of the ticket applied to an upgrade.
