Possible to find out what airfare cost was a couple of months ago?

I hope the title was clear. I'm wondering if there's a way to find out what the airfare cost (for a particular flight/date) about 2 or 3 months ago. With Air Canada or even WestJet.

I did google before posting. After about 15 minutes of searching, I figured I was just not hitting on the right phrase/words to get what I'm looking for. Since I have only flown once, I turned to this site as many people are so much more knowledgable.

Thanks for posting that link. It pulled up a couple new sites. However, none of them have the information either.

Perhaps it's not possible?

Specifically, I'm trying to find out what Air Canada and/or WestJet charged for flights (as of May if possible) from Toronto to Fort Lauderdale on December 9, 2011 and back to Toronto on December 17,2011.

I don't think this is possible. Its not like airlines charge one price for everybody on the flight. It seems like there is a different price being offered every day for the exact same flights.

I've also tried looking for what the cost of flights were in the past, and you really cannot. We are looking to take an Alaskan cruise next year and wanted to know what it would cost to fly from the east coast to the west coast, but as a PP said, the flight prices change everyday/hour for a single flight. When there are 100 people on a plane, some paid $99, some paid $149, some paid $349 for the same seats. It all depends on when they booked.

The problem with your query as someone else pointed out is that the price is not fixed, you would need to define the time/date you want to query as pricing is based on load factor at that time (what fare classes have been sold or are available).

Ah well. I hoped because the flights don't change much out here (toronto) that maybe there was such a website.
