Possible to change from Wishes to Escape?

Did a numbers count before we started planning with Disney and now as time is going on the number is getting a lot smaller if I get to the number of guests that wouldn't exceed the Escape package am I able to change from Wishes to Escape? Would there be a penalty?

I went from an escape to a memories wedding and my penalty was $500, they just took that from the deposit I had already put down. I'm sure you can do it from wishes to escape as well.

I think changing from wishes to escape is very complicated because of the rather steep penalties with a wishes cancellation. They may rather that you keep your wishes wedding but just meet the minimum expenditure. Carrie may know a bit more though.

When you downgrade from Wishes to Escape you lose half your deposit. Depending on what your deposit amount was and how elaborate your Escape wedding would be, that may be more money than you'd save by switching, or it could still be worth it.

My fiance and I were kind of in a similar situation with guest count...but I recall the penalty being pretty stiff too. It should go over it in the contract (or something like it).

Ultimately, what we're doing is just paying the minimum expenditures and including our photographers and videographers in our guest count. It's important for me anyway to make sure they're happy and well-fed. They're responsible for capturing my memories...so it's the least I think I could do.
