Possible to add a night with free dining?

First this may belong in Codes and Rates, I hope a Mod will move it if it's a better fit somewhere else

I know this is probably a very stupid question, but here goes: We're booked for 7 nights at the end of this month with free dining. I'd like to add a night and I'm guessing it's impossible since the free dining offer has ended, and I didn't want to check with the CM's since I often get wrong or conflicting info from them over the phone. Anyone else tried this or know for sure?

I'd call to ask, but I bet you'll be out of luck. We got a deal on airfare but had to change our dates be one day.....from 9/22-9/29 to 9/21-9/28. They were more then happy to remove the 29th with free dining day and add on the 21st for me but they won't give me free dining on the 21st. We're staying at ASSports...the least liked resort...and I still couldn't make it work.

No, you have to purchase a new room reservation. We wanted to do the same since we are comming down a day early also. We got an AAA room rate and ask to stay in the same room. So at 12am the next morning we can check out then back in the same room.

1) Adding a night early is a new ressie.
2) Adding a night after is a continuation.
3) The problem is not with the Free Dining dates.
4) It is whether the resort has any more Free Dining space available.
5) All you can do is call and inquire.

rusty scupper is correct...
i had a friend at wdw recently who was considering adding a night if she could get her airfare changed at a reasonable cost... she simply went to her resort's front desk and asked if she could add a night and keep her free dining, add an extra day to her hopper and they said SURE! so it is possible...

Thanks to those who replied! I just figured it wasn't possible because a friend called 2 nights ago and they wouldn't even let them pay to upgrade to a water view room because the CM told them that with free dining, there could be no changes. I thought that was a little extreme, but I could understand why I couldn't add a night. It sounds like it's worth a shot though
