Possible replacement for Whispering Canyon Cafe?

I'm thinking of canceling my ADR at Whispering Canyon Cafe (due to not-so-great reviews and scheduling problems) and replacing it with Nine Dragons or Rose and Crown. Nine Dragons would satisfy my yen for Asian food since my reservation for Teppanyaki was canceled due to its rehab. Rose and Crown (where I ate at years ago) would satisfy my Anglophile taste buds.:yay:

I'm staying at the Boardwalk Villas for seven days, six nights and will be traveling this time as a single. I have ADRs for my other dinners (Spoodles, Le Cellier, Akershus, Les Chefs de France, Garden Grille). I know that most are in EPCOT but I'm going to WDW mainly for the International Food and Wine Festival. I also have a few Food and Wine Pairings scheduled.

So my question is: Does anyone have any advice about replacing WCC with Nine Dragons or R&C? Or ???:confused3

Thanks.

I'd be very cautious of nine dragons. Pete (site owner of the Dis) refers to the food there as 'swill' and a friend of mine calls it 'disgusting', after that I haven't eaten there.

We love Rose & Crown! But, we have decided to try Nine Dragons in September for the first time.

My best advice I have to offer you is try a place for yourself. Do not let others opinions keep you from experiencing something you want to try. That goes for WCC, Nine Dragons and Rose & Crown.

To each his own, bon appetite!

so true :)

We tried Nine Dragons back during Christmas 2005 and loved it. I was worried it would be like any of our local Chinese restaurants but were we ever surprised. I'd try it...

I agree with this too. If you listen to every bad review you'll be missing out on a lot of of fun places to eat. If you want to go to WCC go for it. I called every day for over month to get an ADR for that place.

I wouldn't do Nine Dragons. We ate there and it was just really bad. We kept our Nine Dragons ADR even though I read the bad reviews on here - and I wished I had listened, LOL!

But you have to do what YOU want. Good luck!

I have eaten at WCC in both our 2006 and (2)2007 trips...I have been very happy there. I like the menu, our server has remember us, which I was impressed since we were there 1 year apart. I just don't expect they to be CRAZY ...and do everything all the time. The "floor show" has calmed down a bit over the years...but that is OK by me, and I have had very good food there.

KEEP IT!!!
