I called to get a room quote for Pop Century for May. She asked if I knew the Mcdonalds code. I am not sure what she meant anyone else???

I don't know anything about the McDonald's code, but I called two days ago to book POP for May, told them I had an AP, and asked them to check my file to see if I qualified for any discount codes and was told no. I just returned from WDW Saturday (01/15/05), so was sortof hoping for a e-mail type code, but it wasn't there. The CM told me e-mail codes were just random, which of course I knew. He said he didn't know when or even if any codes would be coming out this year, since tourism is back up.

Seems like I read somewhere that disney was having some sort of game somewhere (on their website) to play online which could win you prizes - not sure what the prizes would be. I know Dell computers had an online game before Christmas that gave away coupon codes for their stuff (and folks were selling the codes on ebay!).

That has nothing to do with McDonalds though it seems. I just know when I read it I wondered if the game would have room discount codes as well as prizes.

Don't go get chicken selects just yet...that promotion ended in october of 04!

Yes. I just visited the site and it was from Sept./Oct. of 2004. Bummer!
However, since the CM mentioned the promotion today, there must be SOMETHING current or upcoming that we don't know about yet.

Ever wonder if CMs play games with us. I can see a cast member receiving a call from someone enquiring about codes they have heard about. The CM says there is nothing available unless you know the code for ****. Once the person hangs up, the CM logs into theses boards and watches the fun.

I am sure there are times, possibly in this case, where a few CMs are huddled around a computer laughing their a**** off.

when my son worked for mcdonalds, they DID offer a discount to employees. It was hard to get the info from his manager. I don't think anyone around here had ever asked about it, and the manager was clueless. When we finally got it figured out, I made the ressie with CRO, and they did apply the code. It was kind of a hassle since my son was 16 years old at the time, and the CM was not sure about allowing the code to go onto a ressie that was under my name. After about 45 minutes of checking with her supervisor etc, she let me use it. It wasn't a huge discount, but better than nothing. A few days later a code for the general public came out that was MUCH better, and I used it!
