Possible alternate ports for a 4 night out of Port Canaveral?

Looking at the potential weather developing over the Bahamas this week, I'm curious what possible alternate ports could be while keeping to a 4 night itinerary in and out of Port Canaveral.

They could probably do Cozumel, Playa Del Carmen or Grand Cayman. It will all depend on what other ships are scheduled in the those ports.

We were on the Wish for Ian. We made it to Nassau it really poured when there and couldn’t get into Castaway Cay either. We just stayed out of bad weather and didn’t go anywhere …lol Just went in circles.

Havent looked at the weather coming.

The distance by sea from Port Canaveral to Cozumel is over 800 nautical miles. Sailing at 20 knots, that’s 40 hours each way. On 6- or 7-night Western Caribbean cruises, the Fantasy has two sea days to get there and back. If the Wish heads to the Western Caribbean on a 4-night sailing, it might be able to visit one port. Otherwise, it might sail around in circles in a region with decent weather.

Yeah out of Miami I have see them do other ports.... Think one line does Grand Cayman and back to their private island in Bahamas. Port Canaveral is another thing...

My guess is a 4 night sailing out today, will make Nassau no problem for tomorrow. Day at sea might end up further south on Wed and cloudy, but well out of Storm... Castaway on Thursday should be great weather... but if still windy, might not dock.

I think if all the Bahama were a bust... they might find another port of call, but if only one is questionable, they'll just offer a OBC and have another day at see.

Once you learned of an itinerary change due to weather and wanted to cancel the whole trip, would they allow a full refund?

Curious how you fared on your cruise? We are scheduled on 4 day Wish next week. We have been on 5 Disney cruises previously all Tgiving week and got lucky with weather but our luck may run out as forecast not so great for next week as of now. Wanted to know your thoughts. Wonder what are realistic possible ports if Nassau/CC are not in play for a 4 day? Saw one went to Cozumel recently. Assume that is the only one? We always say we do not have enough time to explore the ship so may get it this time!

We did go to Cozumel on the Wish last week, though the Dream just got an extra sea day. Unless the whole region is problematic I think the chances of ports being rearranged or cancelled is more likely than a big itinerary change.
