Possible Accident of the Monorail near the Contemporary

I am at Disney now and the buss driver just said there was a bad Accident involving the monorail Any one here any thing about this

I feel like there's been a lot of problems with the monorail lately. Regardless, I hope all are okay.

I saw the tweet from Laughing Place, but all it says is monorail loop has been down since 1:09 and all traffic is diverted from water bridge area.

So, there was a planned midday shutdown on the Express Monorail Line, apparently the accident happened during this test.

@Doctor_Disney: According to some things I've been told and @WDWNT, there was planned down time today for the Express ‪#‎Monorail‬ Beam at @WaltDisneyWorld and an accident of some sort did happen during this test run.

News stations are heading out there to learn more.

"During a planned test on the Express Line of the Magic Kingdom monorail this afternoon, some sort of accident has taken place.

Disney has since blocked all foot and vehicle traffic in the area around Disney’s Contemporary Resort and has ensured guests have no way of visibly seeing what exactly has happened. The planned test was to have the Express Line unavailable to guests all afternoon, but the apparent accident has brought all lines of the Walt Disney World Monorail System to a close. There is no word on what the accident might entail at this point.

We are still trying to find out more information on the incident at this time, so stay tuned for details on any further developments as they happen."

Talked to Disney. “Incident” happened during planned downtime for monorail. Tractor made contact with monorail during towing. No injuries.

“Because monorail made contact with tractor, we have to shut down monorail.” WDW PR spokeswoman not certain why road closed.
