Possibility of room upgade at Swan

We arrive at the WDW Swan in 13 days!

This will be our second visit (our last was in Oct 2003). Last time we were lucky enough to be given a balcony room - my DH cheekily asked if there was any chance of a balcony room, whilst flourishing his SPG card.

Has anyone been upgraded to a balcony room with Epcot view or is that just asking too much? Any tips?

We will be there from 14th Oct to 28th.

I, too, was upgraded last March to a balcony room-just asked if a room was open with a balcony. It was COMPLETE luck. The room we were in was 731 East and we saw the MK and Epcot fireworks everynight. It was INCREDIBLE. Good luck!

Thanks, I can't wait to go back to the Swan - those beds are soooo comfortable after a hard days walking!

I was offered one too. They just told me a room with a balcony and view of illuminations was available; would I like it? I thought that was very good customer service and I appreciated it.
