Ports of call questions on 7 night Magic...

I've been on line and other places trying to get info on the 7 night Magic upcoming cruises.

The ports of call are Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Castaway Cay.

Are these islands still being called on? Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

I saw somewhere that Grand Cayman will not be a port of call for a few weeks due to the damage they sustained during Ivan, I believe. As far as CC, I guess we need to wait and here how things went this past weekend there. I believe they are replacing Grand Cayman, for these few weeks they are closed to cruise ships, with Costa Maya.

Kay West and Cozumel have been business as usual (except of course to avoid a storm).

Castaway Cay was back in business but it will most likely be a few days before we hear from Disney on it. They need to send a team back out to look at any new damage. When it is back in business it will most likely take a while to get back to as beautiful as it was but will still be enjoyable.

As for Grand Cayman - based on everything we've seen (and my DH has been following it a great deal) I think it will be months before they are back in business. They got hit really, really hard. If you are lucky enough to go there please be generous with your tips etc. These people have lost a lot!
