I am considering a stay at the Portofino Hotel for my last 2 days in Orlando. My question is this: If I move over there in the morning and my room is not ready will I still get a pass for head of the line entry on the rides so that I can go to the Universal Parks while I wait for my room to be ready and still get the benefits on staying on property?

as long as you check in and have your room key in hand. We did that on one of our trips there. They checked our bags and on we went. Having the room key is your ticket to front of the line access.

I was told by the hotel that I could get there as early as I wanted, and that if my room was not ready they would issue all of us temporary passes that would give us front of the line access. Same with checkout.
