Portofino: Has anyone heard anything concerning a "club level" ?

At one time people had heard this might be reinstated at the PBH?

The old club level was great but, with any good thing it got abused. If I remember right. We stayed in a Villa and went down for a free breakfast and then chocolate in the evening as well as a nightcap at dinner time. It was a wonderful thing. But it seemed with the location of the club area, non club level guests would abuse the system. I felt this was the thing that made the stay a notch above the other hotels and was very dissapointed when it was gone the next year we stayed. With the club level gone it became just another overpriced hotel.

Nrenee the last i heard was maybe late fall or winter. They were still in neg. with the contractors and suppliers last i heard. They are trying to put club level on the 5th or 6th floor instead of where they had it which is now the concierge area in near the lobby. I believe it's coming but when is still in the air. I would love to have that amenties but i don't think that would make the other hotels better than PBH. The level of service on a consist employee to employee basis there is just unparelled imho to the other two on site hotels. I will let you know when i hear more i may have a chance to get an email to my guest services buddy today and ask if i get any new info i will surely post it for you.

Thanks, and I agree the service is wonderful. The kid suites are great for our family. It will be interesting to see if club come back.
