I've been reading about people having to ask for a 'deluxe' room. I made my reservation on Universal.com, and I checked. 'Club level - Deluxe Queen Room'. I trust that I already have a deluxe room. Do I still need to call them to request a deluxe?

No if your reservation states deluxe than you will have it as you are paying for it. People asking for deluxe are requesting an upgrade - usually without paying for it. You will also have access to the club room as you are paying for that in your reservation.

Thank you, feeling better now. Not that I was too worried. But, usually room request from my experience are based on a first come, first serve.

I am pretty sure that if you book club, you get a deluxe room.

Some people add club to their normal room once they get to the hotel but if you book it originally, you should be all set in your deluxe room.

Requests aren't even on a first come first served but rather on the availability and the generosity of the front desk and those assigning the rooms. However, you paid for the upgrade and will receive at minimum a deluxe room.
