Portofino Bay Club Level/ Doubletree Disney Springs

Hi All,
I am deciding between the Portofino Bay Club level and the Doubletree at Disney Springs. I like the Doubletree for the extra space and proximity to Disney Springs. We plan to go to the MK and maybe EPCOT. I've never stayed at the Portofino Bay and am considering that as it looks beautiful and am looking at the club level. I am a Hilton Diamond member so the Doubletree will have some perks like earning points and credits. I'm just not sure if staying at a Universal resort would be too much of a hassle to drive over to the MK and Disney Springs. We would have a car. Any thoughts?

If you are only going to Disney parks I would stay at the Doubletree for convenience.

You haven’t said if you’re doing both WDW and Universal and if both what are you doing more?
Portofino and Doubletree are like comparing apples to oranges. If you’re only doing wdw or mostly wdw stay at Doubletree. Or one of the Disney deluxe.
If you’re planning most of your time at Universal stay at Portofino.

Both are nice hotels. We enjoyed having a 1 bedroom at Doubletree. Pool was very basic. No theming. But lots of dining around being next to Disney Springs.

Portofino is very deluxe. Beautiful theming, grounds, pools. And includes Universal express passes. But doesn’t make sense to stay if you aren’t going to Universal.
