Mine broke after just 3 uses and the company that made it is no longer in business. When it worked it was great. Looking for a replacement under $100.

Recommendations?

You want a small one? We have a Scunci. I like it a lot so far. It's the only thing that will touch our toilet stains (sounds bad I know, but we have well water and they get water lines in them BAD). It does windows and curtains well, and it was $60. You can buy an attachment to do floors for $25 I think.

I usually just rent one. I have an apartment so it's easier....

Thanks, but I think we are talking apples and oranges. I think you may be talking a steam cleaner for rugs. I'm talking portable steam cleaner for showers, bathrooms, refrigerators... :)

Glad I read this through before replying cause I thought you were talking about a vegetable steamer!

Altho', I guess in a pinch the type you're talking about would do that job, too! :p

Why would I want to steam my fridge?

It's funny, because when I ready your post I thought you were talking about a rice steamer. I was going to tell you, well of course you can get a rice steamer for under $100. :rotfl:

get out any spills that get in the crevases and they dry before you notice them? I love the way my fridge looks after I steam clean it.

:rotfl: I thought you were talking about a clothing steamer instead of using an iron.

I have the Eureka Steamer. I love it. It cleans perfectly. I do my showers, bathrooms, floors. Gets all the dirt out in the corners. Has the attachements for windows, little wire scrubbers, etc. I was looking for a steamer for a little while and returned a few because I wasn't satisfied. Either they didn't steam good, or took awhile to heat up, or was just plain junk. This one fits the bill. I got it from amazon a few months ago, paid alittle over 100.00 and works great. Takes around 10 minutes to heat up. I have ceramic floors in the basement and this is the only thing that cleans it with no streaks and makes it look brand new. My showers/bathroom, stove, floors and everything else sparkles after using it.

Oreck makes one, I am sure it cost more $$, but it would no doubt last far longer than the average. I am needing one of these bad.

DH's niece works for Oreck. I am going to have to start giving hints of what I want for Christmas.
