has anyone ever found a portable clothes airer for traveling ?
We are coming from Australia so want something that can go into the suitcase.

We come for 5 weeks at a time so laundry is a MUST, we don't use dryers except for our underwear because it ruins most of our clothes, so we usually just get the coat hangers and hang up our clothes until they dry - but this is getting harder now there are 4 of us and hardly any coat hangers are provided these days.

I am hoping to set something up in the room to hang the clothes on while they dry.

I just did an internet search for “travel clothes drying rack” and found a number of options. Sorry I don’t have personal experience or recommendations for you.

A lot of the rooms will have a line in the shower that you can pull across to hang wet clothes from; we generally use them for swim suits.

Keep in mind that central Florida is insanely humid, so air drying may not be as effective as you're familiar with.

I like this Whitmor one on Amazon a lot. Holds a fair amount of weight and fold down easily. Although like someone mentioned, they work better in high air flow and low humidity. Many hotels and resorts will not allow them on the patio. https://a.co/d/bq9AX7A

A drying rack like above inside your room is as good as it’s gonna get and could be a struggle due to the FL humidity. If you end up drying stuff just remember to use the lowest heat setting.

(I often call housekeeping for more hangers at various hotels in the US btw... Never been denied, so if that’s the only issue problem solved!)

I have never had much luck air drying at Disney due to the humidity. I can’t even get bathing suits to dry when left out. I use a dryer on low or no heat.

You can request more hangers from any hotel but even in your room with the AC running I think you will find things will never fully dry.

This. Low heat will be too hot for the OP. The dryer setting the OP wants is no heat or tumble only. Start with an hour. Don't pack the dryer full. Maybe half.

Consider running one dryer at low heat. Maybe sweats.

At Disney, you can ask for more hangers. If you do small amount of laundry daily, you will probably have space and ability to dry a few things each day. Also depends on where you are staying in terms of how much hanging space you will have.

Given the length of your stay, I’d order what you need, whether it is more hangers or a drying rack.

We do laundry at Disney and also only put undies and socks in the dryer. While stuff might not dry overnight, it dries in about 24 hours.

We tend to pack light when we travel. I do laundry at the resort. I bring some plastic hangers and, if there is one (if not, you can buy one and bring it along) I use the tub clothesline.
What I really find the most helpful is to bring clothes made of material that dries quickly. Also, do laundry more frequently.
