Hi there, anyone have any best kept secrets about Port Orleans. First time staying on site in a resort? Lynnie Also my count down isnt working what am I doing wrong??????????

We loved it there. We stayed in Alligator bayou building 5 (I think) it was close to the bus stops and to the food court. The resort is REALLY spread out and you will need to walk a bit to het to anywhere in it. If you dont know much about it its split into 2 sections Alligator bayou and Mansion Style.

I believe the date 07/05/03 is being resolved as May 7, not July 5 , so it thinks you're already there. (That is the date filled in to your countdown timer). Perhaps you should turf this one, and try filling out the form again.

Ciao,
Mort.

My POR favorite things:

The bayous with the little white bridges over them
The sunrise on the Sassagoula
The water mill
The cheese danishes at the Riverside Mill food court:tongue:
The horse and carriage rides
The squirrels & ducks
The 16" pizza
The butterfly garden
The serenity.....

;)

We stayed in building 14 in Alligator Bayou - very close to the main bus stop, food court, store, and main building. We loved the quiet pool that is in the middle of the buildings (14, 15, 18) it was very warm, uncrowded and open 24 hours! We were in a corner room (had more windows) on the 2nd floor! Very quiet when we were there! We called the "room controller" directly at the resort about 4 days prior to our stay and requested bldg 14 non smoking, 2nd floor and we received exactly what we requested! :) Good Luck - you will love it! Ducks and bunnies were all over the resort!

We always stay in the "mansion" section as we just love the more formal look of the rooms and the romantic walks by the mansions at night....really like a deluxe for a mod price. You can't go wrong either mansion or bayou- it's a great resort. Just look at a map and see what buildings may work for you. Even if you have a long walk, its a wonderful, beautiful walk!
