We will be staying at PORT ORLEANS for 4 nights in June and moving over to the GRAND FLORIDIAN for 3 nights. I thought the easiest scenario was to have the bellman call us a cab. Does anyone know about how much this should cost?

that you can call Bell services, tell them you're going to the GF, they will transfer you're luggage for you...you can head to a park, have some fun, and then head to the GF from the park, check in , and you're all done.:)

But yes, certainly, Bell Services will get you a cab...probably cost $10-$15 or so ...have fun!!

We are spending the last morning at Port Orleans, do my grandson can fish and swim one last time. We will want to check out right at 11a.m. We want to go directly to the Grand Floridian, so we can check out that hotel completely, and defintely have lunch there. I am sure there are many activities to keep us busy until our room is ready. I just feel better knowing that my bags are safe. Then we are off to Epcot on a Thursday night for their late evening.

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper just to take Disney Transportation? Since GF is a monorail resort... you could just take the bus to MK and then transfer to the monorail.

My Logic Is That A $10 - $15 Taxi Ride Is Worth The Peace Of Mind To Know That My Luggage Is Secure. Also When Arriving At The New Hotel About Lunch Time You Have Plenty Of Time To Explore, Eat Lunch, Swim, Check Out Your New Digs. After Settling In To The New Room As Soon As It Is Ready, You Then Can Spend The Rest Of The Day At Your Chosen Theme Park. When You Arrive Back That Night You Are Already Settled In And You Can Go Directly To Your Room For A Good Night's Sleep. After All $15 Is About The Cost Of A Meal At Some Disney Spots.

I would highly recommend the taxi - we transferred from BCV to GF last Oct. and it was great. I felt better having control of our luggage and was hopeful that our room would be ready. We were lucky and it was ready! My sister and I unpacked while everyone else explored the hotel and grounds. I think $10-12 sounds about right! Have fun!
