I have been seeing a lot of negative reviews on other sites about Riverside. We always loved it.

I was wondering about thoughts on recent visits to riverside? Good or lacking?

Also, are both sides of the resort open now?

I did a 3 night stay there in February. I had no issues with the room; it was clean and looked like it was recently renovated (which I learned that it was). There are 4 bus stops and in the middle of the day it also shares a bus with French Quarter, which is the first stop. I was over in Alligator Bayou near the West Depot bus stop, which is the first stop at Riverside and second after French Quarter. It was really nice to be guaranteed a seat on the bus but not so great to have to sit through 3 other stops.

It was about a 7-10 minute walk to the main pool and it was smaller than I had imagined it would be, especially for a resort as big as Riverside. It was VERY hard to find even a single chair and this was at around 11 am. Hot tub is super tiny and can fit 9-10 people MAX. There are quiet pools all around the resort and the building I was in was near one of them and just as a warning you can definitely hear kids screaming/playing in the pool from inside your room.

Housekeeping did not enter my room a single time throughout my stay so at one point we had to snatch extra towels from a cart. Lots of people were piling garbage bags, pizza boxes and fast food cartons outside their room due to lack of housekeeping. I fully expected minimal housekeeping as it stated that on check in and on the website, just wanted to share my experience.

Overall I had a nice stay and I would stay there again if I was doing a short stay. For a whole week, I would probably pick somewhere with less bus stops and a pool with a much larger hot tub (but that's just me, I'm a big fan of hot tubs at hotel pools).

I was there 2/24-3/5, first time back since Covid. I LOVE Riverside and this was like coming home. So happy to be back. My mother asked me what was the highlight of my trip, and I said “the bed”!😂 So comfy. Mousekeeping was exactly as expected and even made my bed once. Only downside was waiting 20-30 minutes for mobile orders multiple times but not a big deal. Can’t wait to go back!

We had an amazing stay at Riverside last week. Housekeeping was the best we've had anywhere in the past couple of years. They were super friendly and kept us well stocked in towels and everything else that gets replaced. About four days into our stay, the beds were made up with clean sheets. The food court and River Roost were great. The grounds were beautiful. Never saw trash piled up anywhere. The only downside is the bus situation, but that's not on Riverside. They have no control over that. I absolutely cannot wait to stay there again. We've stayed at a variety of Disney resorts, but this felt like it could be a 'home' resort.

We were there Feb 18-22. Same old POR. Bob was banging out Sweet Caroline, Hurricanes were still a billion dollars and the pool was filled with happy people of all ages. The buses ran as expected. The food was as expected at the mill. Boats running to DS on time. Little ponds were filled in AB. Back to normal I would say
