Port Orleans Riverside lunch ... Then boat to DTD?

Hi,

I will be staying at the BWI, but one day next week we were planning to start our day at the MK, then head to POR for lunch and a surrey bike ride. From there we were going to take the ferry boat to DTD. Will it be a problem leaving my rental car at POR for several hours to do all this since we are on-site guests, just at a different property? We always wanted to take that boat ride, plus with the construction at DTD I duping urged parking would be hard.

Take the bus system from your hotel to begin with...

First, it's much easier to ride the bus from an on-site hotel directly to MK, since you avoid parking at the TTC and having to take another mode of transportation to the MK itself...

Second, you can just hop another bus to POR from MK...and from there, the boat to DTD...and from there back to BWI.

Much easier - but it might take a bit longer.

I can't speak to whether or not you can leave your car there, but I do agree with PP in that it may be easier to use the bus from the start on this day. Also note than the boats to DTD can be few and far between in the afternoon. We've found them to be much more frequent after 5pm-ish, when DTD is generally busier.

To answer your question you'll have no problem leaving your car at POR if that's what you want to do. You'll have your WDW parking pass on your dash board as onsite guests and there is a ton of parking at POR. Nobody will say a thing.

I do agree with the PP who suggested doing all this by bus to begin with, but if you're set on using your car you're plan will work fine.
