Port Orleans Riverside - Bayou or Mansions?

I'm taking an adult only trip in September and staying at POR. I can't decide if we should try to request the bayou or the mansions. I think the landscaping is nicer in the bayou, but the rooms in the mansion look more grown up. I know a request is just that, but I'd like to try. I've never stayed there before and I'm a bit torn! Thoughts? TIA!

We have stayed both- and preferred the Mansions.

I prefer the mansions. Love walking out the door and being on the river. All mansions are along the river path. I think The landscaping is beautiful. Also like the rooms better. The AB rooms have the Murphy bed that takes the place of a dresser.
Magnolia Terrace and Acadian House are my fav locations. I request to be close to the foot bridge.

We stayed in Alligator Bayou and loved it! The rooms were great and the foliage was beautiful. I would highly suggest getting a preferred building. We were one of the closest to the building with the quick service food.

Stayed both, but mostly Mansions - love the Royal Rooms. Since you are alone, I would lean to Mansions if nothing else the AB rooms have lots of rooms for 5 so many families with younger children. You can always walk anywhere you want to enjoy.
