How is the wait for the bus since there is only one bus stop? We will be going in June.

We stayed at POR last year and since there were more then one bus stop areas it didn't take to long.

We were there last week and the wait was minimal, 5 minutes tops. In the morning we never shared with POR but there were a few times later in the day, usually buses returning from the parks.

Just to note, there are two bus stops but they are side by side.

Do you think they will have activities in January?

If you mean the poolside games, outdoor movies, campfire, etc then yes, these are now daily activities all year round at both POFQ and POR (weather allowing of course).

Thanks! I think the campfire would be fun and cozy in January.

Thanks for answering the question I have had. :thumbsup2

I just thought of another question. We will have a car and I know it is just a short walking distance from POFQ to POR but our daughter is disabled. Are the two resort parking lots connected, meaning can you drive from FQ to Riverside without having to exit the resorts and going to the guard shack/gate?

Bus goes between each resort - ask the bus driver.

A boat goes between each resort.

If you drive - yes you have to use the road - just show your POFQ or POR room key and they will let you in and park.

Whew! So it's been FOREVER since I've been onto DIS x.x It's been a month and I haven't even started my TR yet due to family events that have suddenly unfolded.

BUT I wanted to let everyone on here know that I kind of did a video walk-through of the room we had. Would anyone like me to link it once I get it uploaded?

We LOVED POFQ!! Love love love :)

Yep, there is a connecting road within the security gates so you don't need to exit and re-enter.

I'm playing around with a few game and puzzle ideas for my site, and have just done the first 12 pictures for a (for want of a better word) photo scavenger hunt. If anyone would like to test their Port Orleans knowledge, take a look at http://www.portorleans.org/scavenger-hunt.php and let me know how you get on. Currently the answers are disabled (mean, eh?) but the final version will let you click on each photo to show a full size picture with a location description. Oh alright, I've enabled the answer for photo 12 to give you the idea. :)

I'd be interested in people's thoughts on how difficult this is, as the idea is to have many pics that probably need you to look around the resort rather than knowing them all instantly. Please DON'T post actual answers here, but other discussion is fine.

I would love to see your video walkthrough of the room!:goodvibes

I have a reservation at CSR, but POFQ would have been my first choice. We are leaving the kids home for the first time, and I like the boat to DTD, I know that one of the two PO has Piano Bob and such. I thought it might be really fun. But there hasn't been a reservation available. I check every so often, but what are the chances that something will open up? Am I wasting my time?

Thanks!

Keep trying, you never know. Also worth trying via travel agents. When are you looking for, is it a peak time? Also worth trying Riverside as well as POFQ, as they are only a brief walk apart anyway.

When are you going?

I just called and took one night off our stay at ASMovies and added that night to our stay at POR. :cool1: I wanted to try the new rooms at Movies but I also really wanted to stay at FQ , however, when I made the original reservation back sometime ago, there were no rooms left at FQ. We've never stayed at POR but after reading so much about it, I'm getting excited to stay there and hoping for a new room there also! :goodvibes Can hardly wait!

This is going to be so much FUN! I took a quick look at the pictures, and even after being at POFQ many times, there are just a few that I can pin-point off hand. I will definitely be on the look-out for the answers on my next visit there in February. (I just hope no one puts up the answers here and ruins all of our fun!).. THANK-YOU!

So, I've been lurking on this thread for a couple of weeks now...

I've been trying to decide which Mod resort to stay at tfor our first on property stay... We were trying to choose between POFQ, POR or CBR. I bit the bullet, because I've always loved the photos of POFQ, and booked our 8 day all girls trip yesterday. I am super excited!

I just have to say that Andre's site has been immensely helpful in deciding - what a wonderful resourse you've created!

Anyways - I thought I'd introduce myself - you'll probably be seeing me around a bit over the next few months. :)

I think you did a great job with your photo selection! Some are tricky, and a couple are a little easy and a mix is what you want. Excellent! Can't wait to see more photos.
