Port Orleans French Quarter -- EXCELLENT!!!

Returned recently from a wonderful 10-day stay at Port Orleans French Quarter. This is why POFQ is still my favorite moderate at WDW. Great service all around. Had room #: 5202, which was perfect. It is close to the stairs that is across from Sassagoula Floatworks, so it was a very quick walk there, as well as to the bus stop. It was also directly across from the hot tub, so again, another very quick walk to the pool & hot tub (which we visited every day). My flight arrived early, so I was at the resort around 11:15am. Only 1 person in front of me, so check-in was quick. My room was not quite ready, as they had just washed the rug and wanted ample time for it to dry. No problem, just checked my bags and it was off to EPCOT. Ran into a problem with transportation for our Segway tour and dealt with Mike at guest services. He was wonderful and made sure to pass the compliments to his manager. The food at the foodcourt was good and those beignets are addictive!!! The only downside is that there is 1 person making those, as well as making other things, like ice cream sandwiches, etc. They should have 2 people in that area.

We love POFQ. We were there last month and booked the bounce back program for next August. Our family has never had a bad experience there. The only thing I miss is Bonfamille's. We ate there once a trip and wish it was back.

Great pictures. My sister and I stayed at POFQ this past September and we fell in love with this resort. I so wanted to impress my sister with WDW, and I think that POFQ played a large part in her wanting to go back to WDW someday.

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. I really like the room decor at POFQ. It looks very upscale, not tacky at all. Also, I love the picture of the pool area that appears to have been taken on a foggy/misty day. Very eerie!

I had no idea those rooms were so pretty!

I am re-thinking Pop Centruy for our next trip. It really looks peaceful at this resort.
