Does anyone know if the Port of Plymouth is walkable to the town center?

I live just outside of Plymouth and will be on this cruise.
There are plenty of lovely places to see within walking distance.

Thank you so much. We will be on the D Day Beaches Landing tour (10 1/2 hours) the day before Plymouth, and to be able to explore Plymouth on our own pace will be wonderful.
