I know there have been threads but my search function isn't working. Will be cruising March 2017 out of Miami and arriving the day before. What is the best hotel for kids 11,7 and not to expensive and with shuttle to port

Thanks

Thank you. We are also flying into Fort Lauderdale, about $600.00 cheaper than flying into Miami

Right now we have Embassy Suites Miami Airport for $233.10 per night pre-cruise.
We will keep checking.. We are flying into Miami from the northeast this winter.

I wouldn't limit yourself to those with a shuttle to port. There are a lot of downtown hotels that don't have a shuttle but may be cheaper than those with a shuttle. The taxi is cheap from downtown - like $10. So if you're looking at a hotel with a shuttle for $200/night vs. a hotel without a shuttle for $150/night... You see where I'm going?

We used Hotwire. We picked our dates and then selected downtown Miami and picked 4 star and ended up staying at the Intercontinental for $89. It was great. Right next to a playground, close to Bayside Mall, walking distance to lots of restaurants and some great gelato. You might try something similar.

We booked YVE hotel in downtown Miami. They have a package called Set Sail with YVE cruise package that includes breakfast and transportation to Port of Miami just a few miles away. It's just a few blocks from Bayside Marketplace.

We too are staying at the Embassy Suites Hilton. We stayed there last January and loved it. The atrium was great and my kids who are young, loved it. The restaurant on site is pretty darn good. In the Evening, the hotel puts out a reception and provides snacks and drinks. The Shuttle to the port was as easy as it can get.

Thank you all. Right now I am holding the Holiday Inn Port of Miami.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami this past winter and it's ok for a night. The buffet is very, very over priced for what you get. My advice would be to skip their buffet. Also, its very noisy- Cars honking, we could hear people talking/yelling to each other on the street until very early in the morning. Its a great location, but the rooms really need to be updated. Like I said, for one night it's ok but if we sail out of Miami again, I would try someplace else.

Oh boy, any other options? Everything is so high and since we are flying into Fort Lauderdale not sure if we should just stay there that night or head to the port. Want someplace we are going to be comfy and nice

Following this thread - we are still trying to decide where to stay in December.

We stayed at Comfort suites Miami North a few years ago. It is a great hotel with free air port shuttle, free shuttle to the port & free breakfast. There is also a Subway and convenience store close by. We are sailing the Magic for Xmas & New Years and we have this hotel booked again.:o

That's where we are staying in a few days. Total cost with all fees and taxes is $134

Great choice. Be sure to sign up for Choice Privileges and you'll get a couple of free drink coupons for being a member.

I think I am going to change my current reservation to the Comfort Suites. Much cheaper than being right at the port and with free breakfast will cut down on a charge

Even better at the Comfort Suites
Complimentary shuttle service to the Port of Miami each morning. Register at the Front Desk during check-in to reserve your seat on our shuttle.

We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Suites. The port shuttle is efficient and well run. To ensure that you get the time slot you want, you can call the morning of your arrival day to be put on the list. The airport shuttle can have a wait, but since you're flying into Fort Lauderdale, that won't affect you.

Following to get tips too. We are also a family of 5 with little kids (6 and under). For hotels we usually do King studio rooms or one bedrooms at least. Two queens doesn't give us enough floor space for a pack n play usually. Any help is appreciated.
