port of LA to Hojo

We are coming from a cruise & going to DL, what would be the best way to get to Hojo? Shuttle, which one? Rent a car? Is there a rental car place near the pier & can I return it at one of the locations near DL?

Enterprize rent a car is across the street from Port of LA, and they did send a sm van to pick us up, because of the way that the Port parking lot is set up, you wouldn't want to walk, with baggage and all. Of course this made for a big rush of people comming off the ship wanting a car....
