Port Canaveral to Sanford airport?

When we disembark there is an Allegiant flight that is cheaper and straight through vs a more expensive flight out of mco that also has a layover. However- the flight is at noon.

Is a noon flight cutting it too close? Also, how would we get from port Canaveral to Sanford? Is there a shuttle service we could book? We will have a 13 month old at the time so we would need a car seat so Uber probably wouldn’t work

Recommended earliest flights from MCO is 11:15. The distance to Sanford Airport is 15 minutes farther than to MCO.

It seems reasonable that you could catch a noon flight. MCO can have long lines for luggage and TSA. I don’t know if a smaller airport will be quicker - or if they just have fewer staff and equally long waits. My home airport is so much easier and quicker than MCO or other large facilities.

> Will you be bringing your car seat for use on the plane? Or is securing it in a car a lot of trouble?

Seems like a private transportation company should be available. Have you checked the Transportation section on the WDW part of this forum?

I have flown out of Sanford many times for Disney trips and it’s super quick to get through security (or at least always has been). We are not bringing the car seat, so I could look into private options.

I didn’t even realize there was a transportation section, thank you!

The ride is about 25 minutes longer. If you can find a car service that will be there as soon as you get off, and the ship is on time you should be OK. We've been off the ship and sitting at MCO at 8:30 leaving from the garage.

What time do you get off the ship? I’ve only done one Disney cruise and I can’t remember. I do remember there was a super long line

The last two cruises we've been off and through customs by 7:30 and 7:45. When I say sitting I mean in the car.

Consider doing the express walk-off or trying to get the first breakfast time.

Then get private transportation (not a shared shuttle) with a car seat. This way you don't have to wait for other people to board before they take off.

We had no problem making an 11:45 flight out of Sanford with Mears Transportation. We had a good breakfast, carried off our luggage and met our Mears driver at 8:30 and got to Sanford
airport at 9:40. There was plenty of time

Perfect thanks!
