Port Canaveral parking: OK for brand new car?

I think Auntlynne is onto something here. I've been wondering about that too. Any concerns we have at home can follow us through the cruise, and that's not right. 99% chance you'll be fine, but there will be a big, fat "I told you so" if something happens after you assured your wife that it would be fine. Plus if you do what she suggested, you'll save the couple hundred miles on your car.

Leave the new car home. Get two one-way rentals and utilize their shuttle between port and rental office.

Also, you won’t pay the $17/day (or did it go up) parking that is for the length of cruise and arrival or departure day (I just know it will be more than 6 days’ worth). Let this offset the rental price.

It’s going to bug you the entire time until you get back to your car - it has already started.

I say this based on your stated concern, not to be mean.

That's a good idea. Thanks! But, I do feel better hearing some of the responses on here. I think the garage is better than other lots around the port.

A cruise and a new car? Congratulations. Enjoy both. Glad to hear the reports have allayed some of your concerns.

I had no concerns parking a Honda SUV on the 3rd floor near the elevators, but I was a little leery when the minivan pulled up next to me at a non-parallel angle. It was fine, but I just didn’t want to assure you everything would be fine and then have something happen to your shiny new toy .
