Hi all,

Just looking for a bit of info. My family of 5 are travelling from Australia to do a WDW, DCL & Universal Trip - Most likely first & last time - hope not!. Anyway our disembarkation day is the 28th of January (7 Western Caribbean) and was thinking of spending this day at Kennedy Space Centre. However we need to leave our luggage some where. Have been searching for hotels in the area that have day rates, but can't seem to find one. Does anyone know of one that offers this option - also after info on what people would consider to be the best location/hotel to this from.

Figure this option will be a lot less expensive that a day tour from Orlando costing just over $450.

Any help/advice appreciated - including cruise information. Can't wait and counting down the days.

How are you getting to Kennedy? Are you driving or using a service? If you rent a car, you'd be able to leave your things in the car.

Anyone have info on how safe it is to leave luggage in a car at Kennedy?

Never thought of that option. Was looking at the Taxi or Bus option.

I suggest renting a minivan or full sized SUV for your party. There are shuttles from the ship terminal to the various local rental agencies and then you can have transportation to KSC, for lunch/dinner, for travel to from your hotel, shopping, beach, etc. There are hotels along the beach in Cocoa Beach and there are hotels in Port Canaveral with nice pools/rooms with complimentary breakfast buffet. You can then return the car to the airport before your flight. It is a simple drive from the Port to MCO.

We like the Marriott Residence Inn, the Radisson and the brand new Hilton Homewood Suites (as long as you don't need a crib...they only have one).

The car rental places in the port area are: Payless, Hertz, Budget, Thrifty/Dollar, Avis, National/Alamo/Enterprise (Hertz is right in the parking lot of the Marriott Residence Inn)

You can find transportation info and discount codes here....

I would imagine that thousands of people leave luggage in their car while visiting KSC, WDW, Universal, etc. every day.

I do not think there is bus service from the ship to KSC but not sure.

If you decide on a hotel, you might consider one in Titusville, rather than Cocoa Beach, as you wouldn't need to go back that way after doing Kennedy.
