Port Arrival Times

I saw that port arrival times have been pushed earlier by 2 hours on the next several cruises. Anyone sailing who can tell me what is now the earliest PAT? We are booked in concierge, so can arrive any time, but I'm not sure when that is. (I know, call shoreside, but as we all know, sometimes they don't have latest info.)

Thanks in advance!

We were concierge on the Dream last week. We called shoreside to find this out and they told us 11am, we showed up at 12:30 and were turned away and told to return at 1pm. Now that they moved up the PAT by 2 hours you should be good to arrive anytime after 11am.

We just got off of the Dream today and they were still not allowing anyone before 1PM even after port arrival 2 hour change ... we had heard "11" as well after the PAT change and were Platinum and Concierge and still turned away at 12:30PM ... I leave on another cruise soon and won't get there until 1PM as the current rule.

so even though your port arrival form said 11:00am arrival, they still turned you away? Wow. Our arrival time was changed and we reprinted the form to bring with us, so it’s not correct?

OP here. We decided not to rent a car and will be taking the bus from the airport (staying at Hyatt night before). They told me first bus will be leaving at 9:45. Fingers crossed!

The email that I got said this: Port Arrival Times for the August 27th, August 30th, September 3rd, and September 6th sailings have automatically been adjusted to begin two hours earlier.

I would assume that until those sailings the arrival time is still 1. And as Concierge there is no time at all on the port arrival form so it seems like maybe just a miscommunication

We will be showing up at 11am on Friday. I don't think we will get turned away.

Please post if you did not have have an issue as sailing again next week and would love to not be turned away like last week at 1:30.

SideshowBob, until you get an answer I can say that we departed the parking garage today around 10am and it looked like the health screeners were just walking into the garage to set up, probably for 11am arrivals. I don't think they would have been that early for 1pm arrivals.

Great ... thanks for the information, FWRR3! Hope that you had a nice cruise!

Do these PATs allow plenty of time to get the under 12 COVID testing done?

They won't leave without you if thats what you mean?

You show up at your PAT but you will be a solid 1hr or more behind those who show up without kids under 12 since they won't need to test.

If the port in not open, you will be directed to wait in the hall that connects the parking garage to the port. That what I did a few years ago when arriving about 9:30 AM. Not sure if it is the same today.

I believe things are different now from all the latest reports. They are pretty strict about the PATs now and turning people away if they are early. They are trying to keep reasonable numbers of people in the terminal and not have overcrowding like in the past.

We sailed on Friday. We sailed concierge so went for the 11am port arrival time. We arrived a little early around 10:45. They had us and the other early arrivals park in the lot just before the drop off point. At about 10:57 one car headed around and that started the floodgates. It was all very organized and we were on the ship at 11:35. (All vaccinated adults)

When you say one car headed around at 10:57, was that Disney directing cars in an organized fashion, or just the first lucky person to try it got in and everyone else just randomly followed? Was there a benefit to arriving 15 min early for that first 11:00 boarding time, or do you recommend just arriving at 11:00?

It was just one of the cars that was parked. When we got there we went into a parking spot. 10 minutes later rather than go further back they started basically making a line right at the exit. I think the car was upset that he waited this long and they would all get in front - and honestly that was how I felt as well! So when he went, we all followed. They were ready for us so it was fine. As far as arrival time, we weren’t trying to get there early. I think it would have been easier if we had gotten there at 11. It was just one of those days where you hit every green light and nothing stops you

Not worried about them leaving without someone, was just thinking that a later PAT plus COVID testing for the kiddos wouldn’t leave much time for lunch etc before departing.
