DAY 2, MAY 12, WEDNESDAY:
Up and at bus stop by 8:15 am. Epcot is our first stop and Mission Space single rider for me. DS is too scared right now to try it out, so Ill give it a whirl first. Just like I always do. No wait for me. I am nervous, but Gary Sinese tells us dont look ANYWHERE but at the console screen. I can follow directions, especially from him! I was scared, but excited. During take off you feel pressure, then floating, listening for my instructions (Im navigator), then laughing it was so much fun!! I wouldnt recommend it to DS since he get nauseous if he gets dizzy and it does make you dizzy! Maybe next year when hes not so nervous. He rode TT while I was on MS. Then we both went on TT. No waiting. It seemed like it went faster this time on the outside track, maybe like 75 instead of 60-65. It was a blast! Went and did our favs, Ellen in Universes of Energy, Spaceship Earth, shopped at Art of Disney and finally found an original piece of art that I liked and could afford. Its a drawing of Tink, just the outline of her flying, not colored in. It was just the actual drawing. I had it matted and framed in their Disney Frame; which I like a lot. The artist (Jerry) was there and he dated it for me as well. Thanks! I had it shipped home. The drawing was $30, frame $35 and shipping was $10. Not bad. It looks beautiful on my wall. My sister noticed it right away when she came over and said it was nice too. Made me feel good about the purchase. DS & I headed over to the World Showcase, rode the boats in Mexico and Norway. Went over to LeCellier for lunch, no PS, and no wait. It was about 2pm. We went here last year and tried the famous Cheese Soup. It was tasty, but I didnt want it again. We both ordered burgers and cokes. No cheese for me, just DS had cheese on his burger. I ordered shrooms on the side with mine. I do have to say that those burgers are the best in the entire world!! That weve tasted anyway. They were huge and we couldnt even finish them either, and I wanted to soooo bad since they were so yummy! Beaten down by a burger on an English muffin! Not even on a huge bready bun that they usually come on. We were so disappointed in ourselves. =) The fries were tasty too. Next time well split the meal and then well see who conquers who, now wont we?! The bill came to about $26, and well worth it! Lori was our server and a very sweet girl. We checked out the rest of the countries, picked up Norway/Canada/Italy antennae toppers for my family, gummy candies for DS, chocolate in Norway, cinnamon glazed Pecans (an absolute must every time in Epcot), frozen cokes at the Outpost, then on to my favorite: Living with the Land, then Figment. That part at the end of Figment scares me every time! DS just laughs at me. We hopped on the monorail to MK. DS asked for front and we waited for the 2nd monorail to sit there. I dont mind waiting. Another mother and son rode with us. Ron was the driver, nice man. Arrived at MK and picked up our EMH wristbands on Main Street. By the 3rd EMH night, they had CMs all over the parks giving out wristbands, not just the 2-3 designated locations in that park for the night. It was hard to get back to the location they told you to be in the first time, especially if you forgot until later in the day. There were tons of people at MK tonight, but it cleared out a little more by 10pm. Even still, I couldnt believe how many little children under the age of 5 were there. Lots were sleeping either in their strollers or on their parents shoulders. I would have just gone back to the resort. All of a sudden at about 10:15pm I felt really, really sick. I was dizzy, nauseous, dripping sweat, seeing black spots, extremely tired and fighting not to pass out!!! This same thing happened to me 2 days before we left for Disney last May 2003 and landed me in an ambulance to the ER overnight. Never found out what was wrong last year so I didnt really know what to do this time either. I can say that DS was scared to death and I cant blame him. He went to get me some water and I sat outside on the benches by the bathroom over in Tomorrowland, the one behind the TTA. Unfortunately its a smoking area and that didnt help me at all. I sat there for about 45 minutes, drinking water, trying to calm down myself and DS. I was feeling better after a while and was able to walk around again. By about 11:15 I was feeling myself again and I knew DS really wanted to go on some more rides, it was EMH night! So we went on JC, Splash and TTA. DS was hungry by now, so we went to Cosmic Rays. We caught the last Snow White ride, the CM says to us row 4 please, we look down at the numbers, theres no row 4???? All we see is 1, 2 and 3. We look back at the CM and shes just laughing. Too funny, theres no row 4. Shes just having fun, so were we! The Jungle Cruise CM was pretty funny too, actually all the CMs were pretty loopy at that EMH. Most of them were going on a 12-hour shift and were pretty tired. But it didnt show in any negative way, just happy fun times! Which I was very glad of at that time, for sure. We left after the EMH (midnight) and off to FQ to bed. What a night! Thought I was going to die and then everything was fine.
(PS, I checked out my symptoms on line after I came home and they point to hypoglycemia, unaware hypoglycemia to be more accurate. So I guess Ill have to go to the doc and get checked out.)
