We are staying at POR 2 days before our cruise in Sept 2006. ( Yes I too am an overplanner)
I have 2 questions:

1) any "over looked" things at POR to find?

2) We probably wont get to Orlando before 8 then we ahve to get the rental car. Is between 9-10pm too late to check in?

You can check in at any time of the day. The theme pool's slide is only open 'til 10pm. At that time, the lifeguards go off duty. But you can still swim 'til midnight. If you check in on a Wed to Sat, your family can watch the piano man while you check in. He's there 'til midnight. Have fun! POR is our fav!
