We will staying @ POR riverside in a couple of weeks. Any info on which buildings are close the the food court and pool would be helpful. Any onther info would be great we have never stayed there before.

We had room 2723, which I felt was in the middle of everything. The food court was a 2-3 minute walk, the bus 3-5 and the pool 3-5. The grounds and landscaping are so beautiful you don't realize the walk. It was so calming in the morning to walk by the river to get breakfast. It was a little cool in the mornings we were there, and the mist was rising off the river it was so tranquil.

Bldg 14 is the closest to the food court, but everyone must walk by some part of the building to get to where there are going. I would also recommend a second floor room. We had a first floor and there were several instances where people were checking in late/out early and could hear their rolling suitcases above our heads, or the luggage being banged up and down stairs.

Oak Manor is currently closed for renovations if you wanted the mansions.

No matter which part you stay in, you'll have a great time.

I agree with what 01Sweetpea said. You can't go wrong. We actually didn't stay there this time we were at OKW but I had to add to not miss eating dinner at POR at Boatwright's. The homemade feel to the meals was great after eating fast food for 11 days. We actually went 2x it was so good!

Have fun, Linda.

We just left (Wed) POR and stayed in Magnolia Bend. It was a short walk away from the pool and the food court. Very enjoyable stay. Loved the pool. We were in 8704 which was the front of the building facing the entranceway and parking lot but the foliage is so lush you really couldn't see them. The opposite side of the building faced the river, but depending on where you were you may not be able to see anything but the foliage. Really it doesn't make a whole lot of difference because there is a walkway in front of the rooms so most people don't have their blinds all the way open anyway. Except a few immodest people  (it's hard not to notice a bare behind at night when you're walking in the dark past a lighted room).

The room was nice. Good mousekeeping. Bathroom wallpaper somewhat worn behind the door, with a small plastered area not recovered, but that's probably because the whole complex is going to be renovated. Some people may not even notice it. Overall, I would stay there again-if I couldn't stay deluxe, which I prefer.
