DH and I are trying to decide whether we want quiet seclusion or nearness to food court etc. when staying at POR. We won't have to worry about kids, strollers, etc- it's just the 2 of us. We have decided to request a building in the AB section, but i would love to get feedback on what buildings you have stayed in and what you thought, good or bad.

TIA!

We stayed in AB14 , the best building close to everything, and very quiet. It was our 25th annv.we got a corner room double windows which made it seem x-lg and airy.Have a great trip.

My DD (11) & I have stayed in AB 27 (both views), Parterre Place & Magnolia Terrace ( both views). We loved everyone for different reasons. Magnolia Terrace is simply beautiful and smells like my grandmother's garden. Parterre Place was located just over a bridge & we had a corner room that looked out over the river & a quiet pool. AB 27 reminds us of my grandparents cabin on the creek, and we love roaming through the trees & paths at night. We've yet to be disappointed with any room @ POR, and we've stayed there 5 times. The food court, lobby, and main pool are often over run with lots of adults and their children, but noise has never bothered us in the room. Have a great time!

We stayed in Magnolia Terrace and Alligator Bayou Building 14. We preferred Alligator Bayou... not only was is close to the food court, bus stop and quiet pool, but it gave the feeling of seclusion as well. It is the ultimate in buildings, as far as we are concerned!

we stayed in building 24 room 64. It was great for us. It is a far walk from the main bldg/food court but we still loved it. It has a quite pool right in front of the building. The laundry is right there and the last bus stop was right around the corner. We really enjoyed the peace and quite of this location and the walk wasn't really too bad to the main bldg. We loved the conveinance of the far bus stop. We were on the second floor and the whole trip was quite lovely

DH and I stayed in AB 37 last May. It was secluded and very nice. It was a quick walk to the quiet pool, the laundry, and the bus stop, and the walk through the resort to the food court is beautiful. We aren't "commando tourists" so we enjoyed stopping to watch the ducks and to enjoy the landscaping. We enjoyed the secluded, peaceful feeling after a busy day of touring parks at our relatively leisurely pace.

We've asked for the same building in December, but won't be disappointed with any building in either section. The whole resort is lovely!

I've stayed in each of the 4 Mansions and also on the first floor of AB 17 on 5 different trips. Can you tell I love POR? AB 17 was closest to the Main building, but it was next to a quiet pool, and we quickly learned that a quiet pool is NOT so quiet! I'd say my favorite location was probably Magnolia Terrace (partly because I got upgraded to a water view overlooking the gazebo-it was so pretty!) But all the locations probably have advantages and disadvantages-my 6th trip there is in November, and since I really can't pick a favorite location, I just asked for upper floor near main building.

We liked building 14 as it is close to the food court and main bus stop.
