POR room for 5 vs 2 rooms at Sports

Thanks Backstage Gal for the refurb dates! And thanks maxiesmom and LilyWDW for pointing out that connecting rooms are not guaranteed. The CM on the phone told me that they were and I would not have known otherwise. It would be a deal breaker if we had to split up!

With the food court being under refurb and no guarantee of connecting rooms, we are going to either stick with POR or switch to Shades of Green.

Thanks so much for your opinions! It really helps when you are considering a resort you have never stayed at before!

You are very welcome. I have been here long enough to have seen too many people who were told "Oh, connecting rooms are guaranteed" by a CM only for them to show up and be told "Nothing is guaranteed but a room on property." Too much disappointment. So it is one of the things I always try to stress (and I know maxiesmom feels the same as we are often 2 of the people posting it).

I have never stayed at POR. We stay at POFQ and all past trips have been 2 people (solo next year and then 5 split between two rooms in 2015(well a room for 1 and a room for 4)). BUT, I have spent time at POR as it is a really nice walk from POFQ. Beautiful resort, very nice food court, and cool looking pool. Plus you can rent bikes and you have the boat to DTD (one of my fav aspects of POFQ).

POFQ is our favorite resort. We were able to stay there on a trip with family and absolutely loved it! I really wish they had rooms for five. Our last trip we stayed at POR and made several trips to POFQ to eat and enjoy the atmosphere!
