Hello - does anyone have an opinion on which of these resorts would be best for a young married couple w/out kids? Also, can you walk Epcot from CBR?? Thanks!

CBR was our first resort on site and our only one w/o kids. we liked it well enough. I would like to go back at some point for my kids to enjoy it because it seems like it would be a fun place for them too. If you want a quiet section you could request Trinidad South. It is a little further away from everything but it would be a nice romantic walk along the beach. You cannot walk to Epcot from here because it is across the street from the very back of WS (no entrance).

We really enjoyed POFQ! It's very quaint and a lot smaller than Riverside. If you got a room on the water it would be very quiet and romantic! The restaurant there is closed now but there are plenty of choices at DTD which is just a boat ride away.

I have never stayed in Riverside (or DL) so I can't comment on that. I would say you really can't go wrong with either of the above moderates. It would just be theming preference or location.

We haven't stayed at CBR so I can't compare to there but we have stayed at POFQ and PORiverside. The first five trips or so were without our son. Just by chance we picked POFQ on our first trip. It was a new resort and we both really liked Jazz and thought we would like the sanitized version of New Orleans. We were right.

POFQ is much smaller than Riverside but you can use all the facilities at Riverside since they are "sister" resorts. That makes it nice. Both resorts sit on the Sassgoula (sp?) River and there is a very nice walking path between the two. We always enjoyed holding hands, watching the ducks and walking the river path. Was pretty romantic at night. We also like the cobblestone streets and horses along the paths at FQ. Plus, the fountains and courtyards spread throughout the resort are very nice. The other thing we liked was that since there are less rooms it appears to be less crowded when you are on the grounds. That is just my opinion but we've always felt this way.

The food court has just been redone and from what we hear it is similar to Riverside and that is a plus that wasn't there before. FQ is also the first bus stop on the route - when you get on and when you get off. For the most part, except when it is packed, usually first thing in the morning, the bus continues over to Riverside.

Overall I would pick FQ but I have heard that CBR is also very romantic and has just been renovated. Whichever one you decide, you will experience the magic, I'm sure. You might want to do a search on the FQ. That would give lots more information on the facilities and everyone's opinions.

CBR is the only Disney accomodation I have been disappointed in! My stay there was about 4 years ago - so things may have changed. My husband and I loved POFQ - everything about it! A smaller resort, wonderful theming, we stayed in building # 5 and had a river view. I would recommend it in a heartbeat! Good luck with your decision. No matter what you decide you will have a great time!
